Discover Restaurants offering the best Thai food in Phitsanulok, Phitsanulok Province, Thailand. Phitsanulok (Thai: พิษณุโลก, pronounced [pʰít.sā.nú.lôːk], also locally known as Pilok) is an important, historic city in lower northern Thailand and is the capital of Phitsanulok Province, which stretches all the way to the Laotian border. Phitsanulok is one of the oldest cities in Thailand, founded over 600 years ago. It is best known as the birthplace of King Naresuan, who freed the country from Burmese domination in the late 16th century, and that of his brother and successor King Ekathosarot (Sanphet III). As the crossroad between the northern and central regions of the country, it has long been important both for political and strategic reasons, and was fought over many times in centuries past. Phitsanulok was the capital of Thailand for 25 years during the reign of King Boromma Trailokanat of Ayutthaya. On the banks of the Nan River, the city was originally a small Khmer outpost known as Song Kwae, before the Khwae Noi River changed its course in the 11th century CE. Phitsanulok was also a provincial center of the Angkorian Empire during the Angkorian period. Phitsanulok is home to Naresuan University and Pibulsongkram Rajabhat University, as well as to a major Royal Thai Army base.

Really nice and clean hotel in Bangkok. The breakfast isn't the best but not the worst either. The staff is friendly and understand English. The pool is not that big but really good considering location and price. The small street the hotel is located on is really nice and quiet with different kind of restaurants. I recommend this hotel if you just need 1-2 days in Bangkok before you continue your journey north or south.

First: This is the same restaurant as Pat Phufta Thailand on TA, currently no. 26. The correct name is Phae Phu Fa Thai.We had a lovely meal here, everything we ordered was prepared well. The Hoi Jor, crabmeat roll was especially good. We also enjoyed the Tom Yum Prawns, very tasty and not too spicy. The restaurant is afloat on the Nan river which flows through the centre of town. Service was very good.

Love the ambience, dining by the riverside. Very local cooking. The food, 7/10. Fried fish is delicious with seafood sauce. The fried pork serve with a unique home made sauce. No disappointment for me.

Way over priced, super long waiting time even after seated. The service is very poor. The food isn't bad but isn't special either. I was there because of curiosity, but never again.

We open morning time. We serve good coffee and breakfast ( Western & Thai ) start from 07:00 - 17:00 ( everyday )
This is a stylish coffee house and restaurant, frequented primarily by upscale Thais. Very nice decor, Thai and western menu. My wife had a salmon roll with Caesar dressing, Very little salmon and very fishy dressing. I had a hamburger and though not cooked as requested (asked for medium, got well done) it was quite tasty. My wife order a special "coffee pop", looked beautiful, and at best I can only say it tasted very weird. With water and two small beers the tab came to about 700 baht. Not cheap but OK for a change of pace.

Krua Restaurant: We do believe in selecting ingredients and recipes. Thus we just don't serve you only food but the best quality as we can.
This restaurant is supposedly one of the best at Phitsanulok. The decor is modern (not posh) and the menu offering is diverse. I personally find the Thai Food (green curry) rather unauthentic but suffices enough. There is free wifi. However the waiter looked more like a bouncer than a service personnel. Rather poor at anticipating needs ....The pricing is reasonable but pricey by local standards. It is not a restaurant I will be dying to return....

Come and enjoy Thai noodles at Hoika Rimnan, the most popular noodle restaurant in Phitsanulok provice. With unique style of eating while hanging legs and relaxed ambiance, the restaurant can attract local people and tourists to come visit for a decade. I
This eating place is for tourist. People come here just for 'have been here'.It has the advantage over other eating place in this area because it is located nearer to the top of the street next to the temple. Good view of the river but you could find much better tasting noodles somewhere else in Phitsanulok,if you want to eat something good, try other place. Just another tourist attraction. Once is enough for me.

I felt like I was visiting a locals place. And the giggling reaction of the 4 or 5 waitresses to my middle aged self probably confirms that. Anyway, I ordered Yum Moo Yang, which is a spicy pork salad, that looks more like a spicy pork soup, but it was very tasty. The pork was thinly sliced and made the soup a tasty treat. Then the main course arrived. Gaeng Phed Ped Yang, which is roast duck curry with basil and coconut milk. Really good. I was mixing the Yum Moo Yang with the Gaeng Phed Ped Yang and the steamed rice pretty quickly. I really liked these dishes. The atmosphere is old school but the AC was cool and the Singha was cold.
