Saveurs du Siam is the one and only Thai restaurant in Louvain-la-Neuve. Siam is the old name of Thailand. It is a blessing for the town to have its own Thai restaurant. I have been to Thailand five times. I can tell you they serve authentic Thai food here. I wouldn't say it's the best Thai food I have ever eaten, but it is good and it isn't expensive. Beside that, the restaurant is extremely well located (only a few meters away from the Grand Place) and the manager is a charming person.

On 15 August it is hard to find a restaurant open. Not only could we satisfy our hunger but we had a great meal. The scampi with spicy Thai basil was delicious and the portion was large and consisted of fresh vegetables. Friendly service. Recommended for eating in and for take away.

We had a quick dinner here between two reservations. There are only three tables as this place is mainly a traiteur-take away joint. We really enjoyed the food. It was very tasteful with fresh recognisable ingredients. The place is extremely clean and the people are particularly polite and friendly. We saw a young Thai lady move around in the kitchen. We wish we lived closer so as to be able to come here sooner.
