This is an excellent local (for me) restaurant and I'm sure people in my region would appreciate seeing a review.

Busy local Thai restaurant with extensive appealing menu for all tastes..Pork belly stir fry in red curry paste with fresh vegetables was delicious. Limited seating and a little cramped, so book ahead or go early. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful

Went here as we were looking for new Thai restaurant as our local has gone downhill badly. TA reviews were good and we werenât disappointed. Service was prompt friendly and efficient. Food came out quickly and was quite tasty. Menu recommendations by wait staff were appreciated. Only negative was that they are a bit stingy on the roti. We will definitely be back. Prices reasonable.
This cosy(20 people max) suburban Thai provides first class fare with a smile. Our party of 6 tried pandan chicken entree...really nice. As were all entrees. Roti good and plentiful.Mains excellent throughout...lovely fragrant green curry.Generally 3 tables for 6, and one for 2. Could be difficult to configure a table for 8.Prices will really make you smile, as was our lady bringing our orders. BYO. Limited off-site parking.

Our cuisine is inspired by the flavours of the Mekong river. As the Mekong river runs across 7 different countries, we acquired the taste of these continent of their pride of the richness of their cuisine that was handed down to them from generations and
Very pleasant host and a wide menu to suit all tastes and budgets. Fried rice dishes were well presented and tasty. Thanks for the vote if you found this review helpful.

First impressions of the restaurant were nice, the atmosphere inside was pleasant and I didn't mind the overall layout of the restaurant. Staff were polite and pleasant for the most part, albeit inattentive during our meal in authentic Thai fashion! That, however, was where the Thai stopped for me in this supposedly Thai restaurant. One of the previous reviewers suggests it may have been taken on by Chinese owners, and I have no idea about the ownership but the staff were all certainly speaking Thai, so I would've expected a more authentic taste. Nonetheless the food has clearly been dumbed down for the tastes of westerners who have never been to Thailand or eaten an authentic Thai meal in their life. My red curry chicken was tasty, and had a little bit of spice to it, but it also tasted like it had way too much sugar poured into it. The "Nur Nam Tok" or Waterfall Beef salad tasted bland and generic. The pieces of beef were large, but there was no lime or lemon juice, hardly any mint, and almost no roasted ground rice. I suspect if I'd closed my eyes and been given a mouthful of that, compared to the Kaprow Pork that I had also ordered, I may not have known the difference. Both had some kind of sweet sauce which I found a little odd.The stir fried dishes weren't at all spicy, and really didn't remind me of all the foods I have enjoyed in Thailand. I'd have to say, it was the type of Thai food my mum would make, and she's the furthest thing from Thai you could think of!Anyway, on a positive note, Piyada Thai was clean, the serving sizes were large, and staff weren't unfriendly. They also made good on their rice being charged "per head" rather than per serve, and didn't try charging me for the 2nd serve I got, which I have experienced elsewhere.Pretty much your average suburban Thai restaurant, geared towards locals who have either never been to Thailand, or never ventured off Patong Beach.I certainly wouldn't recommend against it, but I probably won't be back myself.

I have had takeaway food from this restaurant and it was good, however I recently had a dine-in meal on a Monday night and the food was terrible, service was poor and atmosphere for dine-in is not very good.

Mayura Thai is a fantastic local Thai restaurant. The food is great, the staff are great. We have never failed to have a great time here over numerous visits over the years. Last night we had pork spring rolls, battered prawns, mixed seafood basil, pad Thai with chicken and a chicken dish with a name I canât recall. We finished with coconut ice cream. The highlight dish for me was the mixed seafood basil, although they were all terrific. As always, all the dishes were really good. The atmosphere was buzzy too and the takeaway orders were flying out the door. Service from Jimmy was wonderful as usual. He such a terrific person and server. You canât get better. We also really liked the young female server with the fantastically broad aussie accent and lovely manner. What great staff.Mayura Thai is a compact place but it punches well above its weight. Itâs pretty much the perfect local Thai place. Highly recommended.
