Really unsatisfying experience.Had Summer rolls (B-) which were very dry with thickly cut dried out carrots as the main ingredient which was hard to chew and minimal amount of chicken, Papaya salad (C) again minimal portion size and flavor wise, and Crispy basil duck (D) the worse duck dish we ever had in Thai restaurant (on the most part it was duck fat skin "tempura" with a few slices of red and green peppers and again flavorless and skimpy in size). The service was trying to be nice, but was not very professional or even reasonable (the waitress comes to the table seeing us still chewing on the food and not emptied serving dishes and asks if she can clear up the them?). WHAT?!?!PLEASE Asian servers DO NOT DO IT to your patrons, it's VERY INAPPROPRIATE and IRRITABLE so don't count on the good tips afterwards.Needless to say it was the first and the last visit of this place for us.

Dishes are fresh and tasty. Restaurant is bright and clean. Service is friendly and good. Prices are fair. The drunken noodles had loads of fresh veggies. The green curry had such a lovely flavor as were the other entrees we tried, Krapow with chicken and the Pad Se Ew. Soups were ok. We will definitely be back because the service was also so good.
I visited the new restaurant few days after its opening by chance, and was awarded with pleasant experience of happy lunching. It is located right by the Centreville post office. The waitress was friendly, the appetizer I ordered along with rice was mouth watering and the interior has an avant garde touch. The menu and price would be as expected from a good Thai restaurant in northern Virginia. It is poised to become a better known Thai place frequented by the office goers and post office visitors provided they do it right over time. Iâll give it a five star for its above average decor. No complains about food and service either.

My wife and I just returned from lunch at SakoonThai. As always, delicious. My wife had the Chicken Satay and I had the wonton soup and the kemun jepp (sp?) with a beer.Lynette loves the Satay, you get 4 good skewers and the little salad. The wonton soup was delicious and a healthy portion with 5 wontons in it. The Kemun jepp is my all time favorite appetizer. It is ground port and shrimp in wontons and comes with a wonderful sauce. Go, you won't be disappointed.
