Went here with my neighbor, had never been here before. It was a nice restaurant, specialty is asian food. We tried the rib appetizer, it was very good and had Chicken Pad Thai, my first time, it was excellent 'I now compare this one to any other one I've had)

As you can tell from its name, this restaurant features fusion Japanese and Thai cuisine. Although there is quite a bit of variation in the other Tripadvisor reviews, our experience was very good -- regarding both food and service.I wanted to try the khaosoy, a Northern Thai specialty which is based on Burmese cooking. It has both crispy and soft noodles plus vegetables in a coconut milk curry-type sauce. It is labeled "spicy" on the menu. I requested that they dial down the heat and I was served a delicious entree with depth of flavour but not too much fire.The rest of our order -- drunken noodles and vegetable tempura -- was also quite good.They have a sushi bar; 7 kinds of saki; bubble tea; and both Japanese and Thai beers.There is indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of parking.We plan to be back for the lunch special, which is served from 11 -3, Monday - Friday. You can order from a fixed menu from the kitchen ($9.95) or from the kitchen and sushi bar ($11.95).

I am Siam in Wheeling and Oishii Thai in Buffalo Grove have both closed. I am Siam has re-opened as Siam Siam in the former location of Oishii Thai in Creekside Commons. No changes were made to the decor. The menu is very much what I am Siam always offered.
