settled in the beautiful village of Dardagny, it is a great venu after a walk in the vinyards. very traditional, local food (perche du lac, la chasse...). not a place to hurry or be pressed for time - the service takes its time... local wines from Dardagny, very friendly service, abondant portions. great ambiance... particularily nice in a sunny day, on a tarasse..

Had the Chateaubriand for four people with salad and a variety of sauces. Service was, well, leisurely. The meat was delicious as were the sauces. The potatoes au gratin were just ok, pretty boring. There was another side of braised cabbage which was quite bland.Really could have used some bread but they the server appeared so rarely there was no chance to ask.Overall the experience was fine but didnât feel quite worth the money.

'Les Curiades' vous offre un accueil et une ambiance chaleureuse. La carte et les menus vous montrent la qualite de la production de la region genevoise, en ajoutant l'inspiration creative du chef et des influences d'ici et d'ailleurs.
It is sometimes hard to meet expectations when one has such excellent memories of previous visits. So after our kir royal we were slightly taken aback when (1) the salad then came as part of the menu d'été was rather insignificant and wilted; (2) the waiter forgot to bring the bread with the starter (for which he later on profusely apologised) and (3) the amuse gueule announced for the menus apparently did not apply to à la carte meals.I found my starter (gaspacho with focaccio and goat cheese - see picture) slightly farfetched but the combination of the goatcheese with the gaspacho was good. From then on things looked up and all was forgiven, because the main dishes were glorious: the small octopus a la plancha on a bed of saffron risotto with artichoke bottoms mixed in, as well as the freshly made steak tartare. I had a little advokaat in between (a Dutch/Belgian alcoholic delicacy) and then dessert managed to keep up the standards with my galette with almond cream and poached Valais apricot with delicate icecream. So we left happy with the intention to return soon.Dear robert_bos53First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to write this review following your dinner at restaurant âLes CuriadesâThe comments of our guests are extremely helpful to improve our services: we used to attach great importance to it.Thatâs why I would like to present you my apologies if we missed some of your expectations in the beginning of your menu But we are more than happy to read that we have been able to meet your expectations at the end!!Hope to see you soon in our restaurantYours sincerely,Pascal Cloetens

I have visited this restaurant with some colleagues from my company and it looks very attractive from the view from the street. When accessing the restaurant we were vey well received by a couple that I believe are the owners. We choose a fish with vegetables and fries (don´t remember the name of this meal) and it was very tasty. When visiting Vernier I strongly recommend this place. From Moevenpick hotel you can take bus line 28 to Perfumarie direction (Stop at "Vernier, école" station) and walk for some minutes.

We escaped a convention at the PalExpo and walked across the street to this highly recommended restaurant for lunch. We had the special, with included a steak, fried potatoes and salad. Wine was extra, and we had a very good Swiss Gamay. Price came to about $58 each, which is a very good value in Switzerland. I liked the stuffed grizzly bear in the foyer & the fact the chef personally met the guests as they entered.

Everything is on their website
I can recommend the the meat dishes they are of excellent quality and delicious. However, be careful with the seafood. We tried the shrimp and scallop skews and they were mediocre at best. Their choice of desserts is excellent.

I would recommend this for a decent steak, nice and relaxed with good and friendly service. Locals use this place mainly for the quality of the steak. Not overpriced.

The Café des Amis is a family-run business that promotes the terroir Genevois. Simply furnished with indoor and outdoor eating areas, it has a relaxed but convivial atmosphere. For Geneva, the prices are reasonable - in particular the Plat du Jour at lunchtime and the Menu in the evening. The wines offered are local and also reasonably priced. The standard menu is limited and, as indicated above, very much geared to meat-eaters. In fact, I believe the only main vegetarian option is a fondue. That said, the entrée of jambon cru and viande séchée were good as were the entrecôte steaks (with heaps of frites!). Admittedly the deserts are not home-made but one can only expect so much for the price. So, should you be searching for a pleasant place to eat in the countryside, have a desire to stock up on protein and not pay a fortune, think of the Café des Amis!

This restaurant has an interesting setting next to vineyards. Though it is still in Geneva, it feels like the countryside. On previous visits, I was impressed with the food. On this trip, we were disappointed to find that the beef with fois gras was no longer on the menu. Instead we ordered filet de boeuf, magret de canard, perche and lamb. My lamb was ordinary with the sauce providing most of the flavor. The perche was fresh and a generous portion. The steak and canard was alright. We had wine which came from their backyard , literally and this was good. For dessert I had tarte citron which was acceptable. There is an attractive outdoor seating area but we found the weather a little chilly. The interiors are furnished with heavy wooden cabinets and simple tables. While the food was fine, it lacked the wow factor. If you want a country feel, this could work for you though.

The Auberge de Choully is unpretentious and pretty average. It consists of a bistro and the main restaurant, complete with wandering cat! Note for those wanting cheese fondue, this is only available in the bistro! The menu consists basically of regional and seasonal cuisine, with autumn featuring game (chasse) dishes. During the summer it is possible to sit on the terrace, with views over the vineyards and mountains.Unfortunately while the food was quite good the service was rather mediocre and the waiter unsmiling. A good choice of herbal teas is also available. For 2 people, main course, desert, a bottle of wine, coffee and tea it was 200chf. But then in Switzerland nothing is cheap!
