we spent an overnight here on our visit to the Lake (Bodensee), and we got the room for half price with our Hotelcard. Located in the very heart of Rorschach and just few steps from the lakeside, this is a very pleasant place to stay. Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice rooms... recommended.

Eat there with some friends to celebrate a birthday. Staff was friendly and helpful!Unfortunately the food was pretty tasteless, not really seasoned and disappointingly "usual"!As we mentioned this to the waiter, they explained that this was done purposely so the actual food could be tasted. I could have that at home if I wanted to - much cheaper!

Tired and late evening, we decided to go for dinner. This Restaurant was from outside and Inside not where we would go normally.But let the food come and we was floored!We went to far more expensive places, Restaurants with better reviews but this was one of the Best on our Swiss Family Vacation Trip.The bread was so good that we tried to buy one to go.Try it out ! We was very surprised and happy ! Thanks

The restaurant is located on the 1st floor (easy accessible by elevator with a wheelchair or walker) of what looks like the old train station house. Very nice and bright interior and very friendly/helpful staff. We were just quickly there for a coffee & dessert, but lunch & dinner is probably great there too.

Great service, great wild game dishes variety, reasonably priced when compared with other Switzerland restaurant prices. Superb service. Hotel layout a bit cramped, they do get quite a crowd after 9pm with a cozy, local bar in the premises.

Fresh wonderful food, nice ambience and a sympatic owner, what else can you wish...Perfect stay to relax and enjoy. Nice cigar lounge with mainly Davidoffs available. Can be fully recommended!

We have been invited to stay at the Gupf for one night including aperitif, dinner and Monday Morning Breakfast (closed on Monday). Excellent food, best in class service with and a vine list that struck you. Vine cellar is breathtaking and a paradise for all vine lovers. And what is good food and superb vine without a good service? Would be nothing and this was the point of excellent... best in class service! Congrats!

Mit meiner Familie wollten wir das Restaurant Pfeffermühle nach der Neueröffnung vor 2 Jahren testen. Der Sitzplatz neben der Bahn war nicht so schön wie am See, aber dies war auch schon der einzige Punkt zum von der Bewertung abziehen. Der gemischte Salat und das Rindsfilet ab dem Holzofengrill- fantastisch! Das Personal ist aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Bezahlen mit der Postfinancekarte war leider nicht möglich, aber der feine Amaretto zum Abschied liess dies vergessen. Fazit- â¬â¬â¬, ein Geheimtipp zum ausprobieren!!!

We were invited in this Resturant by our swiss friend, the foods were absolutely great, the view was stunning and the service was very good. Steak and their special chicken were delicious but they didn't have English menu but it was Highly recommended.
