Nice mountain restaurant with hot and cold cuisine and a view. Terrace, playground, jukebox and more. Dorms available. Entertainment and special days.
This has to be one of the best located restaurants in the Alps. But, the lady owner is short tempered, the menu is very limited (although well cooked). Great place to visit in summer and sit outside and enjoy the sun and the view of the 7 Peaks. Apparently very difficult to get to in winter (no ski lifts) so only the expert skiers can get there.

Situated right up high on the Chatel side of the peak between Chatel and Morgins. Accessed via the highest drag lift (but accessible to all via blue runs)Really enjoyable local food. Fab goulash soup.Service efficient and friendly.Well worth a lunch stop.

We went on a snow shoe walk to get there which took over an hour. This was expensive, but maybe we should have researched more and got a better deal. However the cheese fondue was really delicious as was the alternative of macaroni cheese with ham. Great choice of wine including Dôle, one of our favourites. Shame the owner is a bit grumpy. Loos are outside, which means you have ri put all your layers back on!

The après-ski place to be in the centre of Morgins! Nice atmosphere! Music, drinks (they serve great Belgian beers ) and nice people. When it's sunny the roof goes up like an umbrella and you can enjoy the sun. Next year we will be back!

Restaurant typique proposant des mets traditionnels. Orchestre champêtre tous les dimanches de mi-juillet à mi-septembre.
A very pleasant stay at Refuge La Tovassiere alongside the long descent from Les Crosets to Morgins.Good food and good informal service. Reasonable prices. A place to return to.

After the ski we tried to get a drink and some food (any food). However, as it was 6 pm it was too late for afternoon snacks and too early for diner. Thus we ended up with a drink (which we unfortunately ordered before knowing that we couldn't eat anything...)

Elaborate and local kitchen.
We were actually booked at a different restaurant but when we arrived that restaurant was, to our surprise, closed! So we ended up in Point Gourmand simply because we needed something to eat & very quickly our disappointment at the our booked venue being closed, disappeared! Be warned, this place isn't cheap but if you're a foodie then you'll feel it worth the money - an absolutely amazing meal. We tried the 6 course "surprise" menu, we were asked if there is anything we can't/don't eat and then the courses started coming and what a delight! Completely top end, fine dining style food, every course had been thought about, was beautifully balanced, packed full of flavour & everything perfectly cooked by someone who is obviously very skilled in the kitchen and understands food - I honestly didn't want it to end! We were also recommended wines to accompany some courses and were simply poured a glass each (no trying to sell you loads of alcohol). So many times, I've heard on cooking programs "The fish is the star of this dish" and this is the 1st time I've eaten a course of food and actually got that!! Couple this amazing food with friendly, knowledgeable service & we had the most wonderful evening.

I usually distrust restaurants which have photos of food on the walls, but here that would be a mistake. The menu is interesting and short (a good sign), and the food is beautifully presented. Duck parmentier was delicious, and my friend was ecstatic about his steak. They are a micro brewery and their kolsch beer is very good. Nice bar as well. Staff all very welcoming.

This restaurant would not exist were it not for the view of the Dents du Midi. The view is truly impressive. The food is reasonable, but not inspired. The service is painfully beyond belief. Two bits of advice - get there early if you want to eat at a sensible hour, and take a coat/sweater because it gets cold and the seating is mostly outside.Dear Sir,Just tell you that we are very upset to have only a "2" ! But it is your right !Never mind, we will survive, but a "2" with all the efforts we do here, i think it is not correct..Best Regards,Jerome Puippe
