Thanks to an advice I booked a table at Rätia and got rewarded with an excellent dinner. The restaurant proves very popular (many regulars), therefore advance booking is a must. The dining room is nicely decorated, providing a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. A huge thumbs-up to Jessica, Michi (the tenants) and their waitress for the friendly and smiling service throughout the dinner, although the restaurant was full. The menu puts strong focus on seasonal produce and local suppliers. As starter I had the so-called Vorspeisekreation (âstarter creationâ) comprising of venison terrine, horseradish, red cabbage soup. Delicious; however, at CHF24.50, the portion could have been slightly more generous! As main course I chose the Hirschpfeffer (deer stew) with all the trimmings: delicious and generous portion. As sweet I indulged myself with a homemade plum-honey-trifle which proved very tasty. On the downside Switzerland has always had a high price structure and Rätia is no exception. The bill amounted to CHF97. Admittedly not to everyoneâs budget, but the great food and even greater service are well worth it.

The Restaurant in the Park has dedicated itself to the culinary richness of Heidi country, with the fresh, original, quality products of the region at its centre. Thanks to the inspirational and visionary style, local specialities take on surprising new d
We'd eaten here occasionally in past years. This year we found a refurbished and brighter restaurant. Friendly service, limited Easter menu (at least it was open, unlike many other spots in Bad Ragaz). Food was OK (as it usually is in Switzerland, but not distinctively better than many other restaurants.Dear guestThank you very much for your visit in the restaurant Im Park. We would also like to thank you for the time you have taken yourself, to tell us about your impressions. We do everything we can to improve our services constantly. Your feedback helps us to examine and adjust our standards. We would be looking forward to welcome you again in our restaurant. The original in front-cooking Here, cooking is a passion and guests can watch it live. As is customary at a traditional marketplace, you select your food from a colorful variety at various booths. The offerings include fresh, hand-squeezed juices, crisp s
Our tour bus made a stop here for lunch after leaving Liechtenstein--and so did a lot of other tour coaches. The restaurant was very crowded, with seating difficult to find.Along with souvenirs galore, there was a vast area of food offered, both hot and cold. You placed your selections on a tray, and then queued up to pay. My spouse and I found the offerings very expensive, but then so are most eateries in Switzerland. I had a slice of margherita foccacia; he had a salami baguette. Both were of average quality. We decided to drink tap water rather than pay the ridiculous prices for drinks. After lunch, our tour leader had us gather outside to watch a wooden Heidi, Peter, and Heidi's goat come out of a tower while music played, much like figures coming out of a clock. Too hokey for words........As the title of my review states, this place is on the tourist trail.

Typically Swiss! Here, the atmosphere is traditional and cosy, and the menu is simple. Dishes of the day, regional specialities, fondues, open wines and draught beer. Get to know and savour our regional and Swiss specialities. Capuns (chard leaf parcels),
Local dishes such as cheese fondue , fondue bourguignonne and Zuercher Geschnetzeltes are all on offer in the Zollstube and the dishes we sampled there were invariably of good quality and well prepared. There are two separate rooms so if you are not eating the cheese fondue you can avoid your clothes smelling of cheese which is a good idea. Service is good and the whole atmosphere is very relaxed and there are plenty of good and reasonably priced local wines on the menu. We ate twice there and once again strongly recommend visiting this restaurant which is very much less formal than some of the other restaurants in the Grand Hotel Bad Ragaz during your stay.Dear Mr. Michael J,thank for rating all our restaurants after your stay at the Grand Resort Bad Ragaz. We are pleased to share your comments with the entire team of the restaurant Zollstube. We wish you all the best and looking forward to welcome you soon again.Warm regards, Grand Resort Bad Ragaz AGMarco R. ZanolariGeneral Manager Grand Hotels

Der Stall 247 bietet ein einzigartiges Gastronomieerlebnis rund um die Themen Wein und Kulinarik in Maienfeld an.
My first visit to Stall 247 in Meienfeld was short but satisfactory. I was happy to discover this modern venue in the sleepy yet beautiful village of Meienfeld, surrounded by old farm houses and vineyards. The place is a former barn converted into restaurant & wine bar. The ambience is modern yet down to earth. You can see that every detail, from the menu to food presentation, is carefully designed with an attention to detail. The service is friendly and welcoming. On the day of my visit, there were families with children, a group of cyclists and some older couples, all enjoying their visit to this newly opened restaurant. In the wine bar, you can try a glass of (or a bottle, if you prefer) wine from the vineyards in the canton of Grisons and beyond. To accompany that glass of wine, you can order a plate of fine local produce such as cheese and salami. You can also just order a cup of espresso and a slice of homemade cakes. The bread served with food is freshly baked at the local bakery. Besides wine and food, you can purchase handmade products, selection of teas and local produce such as honey and jam in the back of the restaurant . These products, some of them only available here, are ideal souvenirs for families and friends. I found it also very convenient that there is a plenty of parking spots for cars and bikes at the restaurant. If you donât have a plan on the weekend, why not take the next train to Meienfeld, walk through the village to Stall 247 and enjoy the local meal before heading for next destination or to rather touristy Heidiâs village (Heididorf).

We had dinnder there after a business event in Maienfeld. The kitchen crew suprised us with some local apetizer which was followed by an excellent main course. The local wines are superior compared with other swiss wines. I'll go back again without the company crowd!Thank you very much for your recommendation Patrick. We visited Wirtshaus Löwen on recommendation of the Grand Hotel Bad Ragaz. We were not disappointed. From the moment we arrived we were warmly greated and felt 100% at home. Everybody spoke English and respected me trying out my poor German. The traditional atmosphere, wonderfully decorated Easter themed tables and well prepared dishes were much appreciated. The owners touch (Rosa-Elisabeth and Andreas) can be clearly seen. I had a Spanish pork chop and my wife a hamburger - both done to perfection. The Rioja Reserva wine I ordered was sold out, but a huge credit to the owner's integrity that brought us a similar Spanish wine at a price less than the one we ordered. This restaurant is a 'must visit' when in Bad Ragaz.

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening. The weather was perfect and the veranda tables all occupied with guests enjoying the wonderfull views. We had a table inside and from the moment we sat down, we were spoilt with wonderfull service, great food and outstanding local wine. We started with fresh asparagus and we then had porkbelly with black truffels (best I ever had!), my friend a filet and his partner the tafelspitz. All eashed down with a local bottle of Malans Lauber cab. Could not have wished for better food, friendlier and more professional service. A great place to visit, well worth a journey. Tip - this is a popular restaurant, reserve well in advance a table outside on a nice day. Parking could be a problem but tgere is a large parking area 100 meters from rhe restaurant.

We discovered this restaurant on a late evening walk.Staff were super friendly. Very accommodating as we arrived at 8.30 with no reservation. The food here is top of the range. They were good size portions for the calibre of the dining. We had veal and calves liver, absolutely delicious. BUT a small bottle of water cost more than a half litre of beer 6.50CHF v 6.00CHF.88CHF altogether for one course and a drink for 2 people.Switzerland is expensive, that's a given, but the food was good.
