We didnât book. The Manager greeted us with disdain and sat us in an awkward table in a corner as we hadnât booked. The regular tables remained empty as we ate our meal. It took 20 minutes to get a drink order in and we were served warm beer. Oh dear. Almost walked at this point and should have but everyone deserves a chance. The mains were Mont Dâor, Eântrecote and Tartar. It was all very average and over priced. The service was shocking with only 5 tables on the go. Please donât bother unless you want to feel unwelcome and get warm beer. After being extremely patient itâs a big letdown.

Refuge La Vouivre is a great spot for a typical Swiss lunch in a stunning location. It is well worth the walk to get there !

My girlfriend and I have been to this restaurant and were overwhelmed by the genuine friendliness of the staff, from the owner to the Pizzaiolo. We had 2 pizzas and dessert, and both were fantastic. Geat views too, especially in winter, and peace and quiet that will make you never wanna leave.

I went here with my family (2 adults, 2 small kids). The staff is very friendly and the menu offers something for everyone - filet de perches, fondue, steak, pasta, and great gourmet burgers. They don't have a children menu but basically kids can choose anything from the menu and get a half size portion (at half price). Food is good quality, well prepared, good portions and reasonably priced. The Bistrot is a great place.

After the ski we tried to get a drink and some food (any food). However, as it was 6 pm it was too late for afternoon snacks and too early for diner. Thus we ended up with a drink (which we unfortunately ordered before knowing that we couldn't eat anything...)

madeleine and marco welcome you in their renovated property to offer you a pause in a warm family atmosphere. They offer a card with dishes who vary according to Madeleine's wishes. Between tradition, originality and sweetness but always with generosity.

This restaurant would not exist were it not for the view of the Dents du Midi. The view is truly impressive. The food is reasonable, but not inspired. The service is painfully beyond belief. Two bits of advice - get there early if you want to eat at a sensible hour, and take a coat/sweater because it gets cold and the seating is mostly outside.Dear Sir,Just tell you that we are very upset to have only a "2" ! But it is your right !Never mind, we will survive, but a "2" with all the efforts we do here, i think it is not correct..Best Regards,Jerome Puippe

Elaborate and local kitchen.
We were actually booked at a different restaurant but when we arrived that restaurant was, to our surprise, closed! So we ended up in Point Gourmand simply because we needed something to eat & very quickly our disappointment at the our booked venue being closed, disappeared! Be warned, this place isn't cheap but if you're a foodie then you'll feel it worth the money - an absolutely amazing meal. We tried the 6 course "surprise" menu, we were asked if there is anything we can't/don't eat and then the courses started coming and what a delight! Completely top end, fine dining style food, every course had been thought about, was beautifully balanced, packed full of flavour & everything perfectly cooked by someone who is obviously very skilled in the kitchen and understands food - I honestly didn't want it to end! We were also recommended wines to accompany some courses and were simply poured a glass each (no trying to sell you loads of alcohol). So many times, I've heard on cooking programs "The fish is the star of this dish" and this is the 1st time I've eaten a course of food and actually got that!! Couple this amazing food with friendly, knowledgeable service & we had the most wonderful evening.

I usually distrust restaurants which have photos of food on the walls, but here that would be a mistake. The menu is interesting and short (a good sign), and the food is beautifully presented. Duck parmentier was delicious, and my friend was ecstatic about his steak. They are a micro brewery and their kolsch beer is very good. Nice bar as well. Staff all very welcoming.

LA BOURRI (from the Torgon dialect meaning "La Bergerie") is an altitude restaurant located in Torgon, in the Recon valley, a paradise for mouflons. It can be reached on foot or by car during summer and autumn. Ski, snowshoe or seal skin during the winter
Skied there as we headed back to Chatel. Great spot, sun blessed and fantastic views. Choice of many local dishes. We had thinly sliced beef with cheese as what we thought was a light bite but very filling. Nice selection on offer very tempting. Our light bite, drinks and coffee cost â¬65 for two but we thought worth it but at the time had not realised we were in Switzerland and not France! Staff excellent and lots of locals eating there.
