Estavayer-le-Lac [estavaje l(ə) lak] (Arpitan: Thavalyi-le-Lé (help·info)) is a former municipality of the canton of Fribourg, situated on the south shore of Lake Neuchâtel. Estavayer-le-Lac is located between Yverdon and Bern. It is the capital of the district of Broye. The municipality of Font merged on 1 January 2012 into the municipality of Estavayer-le-Lac. On 1 January 2017 Bussy, Morens, Murist, Rueyres-les-Prés, Vernay and Vuissens merged into the new municipality of Estavayer.

La chasse...à tomber! Crème de courge à lâhuile de truffe, médaillons de chevreuil, spätzli, garniture, tout est incroyable !! Et que dire de la crème brûlée aux noix...une explosion de saveurs! Label « fait maison », produits choisis avec soins!Petit plus: le patron vient saluer! A conseiller !

The best place to eat between Yverdon-les-Bains and Estavayer-le-lac by the lake of Neufchatel. Nice decor; relaxed atmosphere; good food. Right on the beach. Such a shame that the service can be really bad - so don't be in a rush.

Nous sommes allé dans ce restaurant grâce au passport gourmand. En effet, on ne tombe pas par hasard à Bussy. L'accueil est simplement parfait ! la serveuse (patrone je suppose), est très sympathique et parle volontier avec le client. L'humour est toujours présent malgré ses difficultés en français mais cela apporte du charme ! Le cuisinier vient également dire bonjour, est soucieux du client, propose de nous donner des informations et explications complémentaires si besoins. Durant le repas, les deux personnages passent également pour savoir si tout va bien. Côté nourriture, il vaut mieux avoir faim, très faim. En effet, on retrouve la générosité portugaise dans les assiettes ! Ma copine à pris un burger taille normal (200 gr) mais n'a pas réussi a le finir. Le pain (buns) est maison et délicieux. Le plat est accompagné de potatos maison également ! Le burger avait vraiment une bonne viande et une sauce atypique ! Pour ma part j'ai pris l'entrecote de boeuf sur ardoise, 250 gr. Accompagnée d'une sauce aux morilles, deux petites sauces pour les potatoes et encore une salade ! Une boule pour le dessert délicieuse aussi. J'insiste sur le fait que nous avons été vraiment très bien servis, et ceci même avec le passport gourmand. Je donne 5 étoiles et c'est pas souvent que je le fait alors que j'écris de nombreux commentaires. Je recommande cet établissement et nous y retournerons ! Allez manger une fois la bas pour soutenir cet établissement qui en vaut vraiment la peine !

Nous sommes venus pour la 1ère fois dans ce restaurant situé près de la Gare et Landi. Un grand parking et un accès facile en fauteuil. Un accueil chaleureux tout comme le service dans une salle de restaurant simple et proprette aux allures de train. Un repas de Bénichon exceptionnel pour très gros mangeurs! Nous avons opté pour plusieurs plats dont la fameuse et délicieuse soupe aux choux cuisinée à l'ancienne, des vols au vent à se relever la nuit et les traditionnels plats de gigot d'agneau avec gratin et haricots verts, jambon de la borne et saucissons et légumes, une meringue avec une généreuse crème double et glace et, pour terminer une assiette de biscuits divers pour accompagner le café si d'aventure vous avériez encore faim! Nous nous sommes régalés d'une excellente cuisine, vraiment. Du vrai, de l'authentique et sans chichi. Ici, tout à une âme et c'est si bon! à découvrir. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir.

Went there on a recommandation from our host, Phyllis from the Lady's Manor. We were disappointed. They do have a great location on the lake. However, it's a seasonal operation, and there seems to be a lack of competence both in the kitchen and in the waiting staff. I had a pork filet which was severely overcooked. The place was crowded, and the fast food items seemed to be OK. My son had a hamburger and he liked it.Just don't go there expecting too much.Quick note: locals call this place "the Club House" and it is in fact the club house for the local sailing club.

At a somewhat unprepossessing holiday camp on the edge of Estavayer-le-Lac resides this welcoming lakeside restaurant serving up tasty, well-prepared food from an eclectic menu. A large terrace - bustling on a warm summer evening - provided a great view of Lac Neuchatel to the sunset over the Jura montains. Competent, courteous staff served us generous plates of tapas starters, local lake fish, tuna tartare, chicken curry, salads, lavender-flavoured crème brulée and fruit salad, accompanied by a good Swiss rosé. A very satisfying meal in a relaxing atmosphere.

We booked a table at this restaurant blind after searching the Internet for a suitable location to meet friends. We were not disappointed. We were a party of four and we enjoyed a three course meal. For mains, three had fish and one had meat , all cooked to perfection. The salad bar in the form of a rowing boat was quaint and full of delicious food. Desserts were of a high standard. We had a local Chardonnay wine aged in wood which was truly exceptional.
