Von aussen sieht das Amthaus nicht toll aus und innen ist es auch eher klein und das Dekor so 'na ja'. Wir waren also sehr im Zweifel, ob das eine gute Wahl sein würde. Aber: Der empfohlene Hecht war super lecker und ganz frisch, Felchen mit Mandeln auch sehr gut und die Limonenteigwaren an Schnittlauchrahmsauce sehr empfehlenswert. Ich würde hier sofort wieder einkehren, auch das Essen an den anderen Tischen sah lecker aus. Dieses Restaurant scheint nach dem Motto "mehr Sein als Schein" zu funktionieren und ist einen Besuch wert.

We stopped here last month on a bike tour of the island. It is a romantic, unique, scenic and charming little restaurant inside the former monastery. The gardens and ambiance of the restaurant seem to mimic the natural beauty of the St. Peter's Island.We had dessert and coffee here. The menu offers a large selection of ice cream plates all made with local products and home made ice cream. While the prices are slightly higher than average, the food is well-presented and very tasty. For a lower budget, there is also a kiosque and self-service section of the cafe where you can get fruit tarts, ice cream, and drinks to-go.Highly recommend a stop here when visiting St. Peter's Island (it is the only main restaurant on the island!). Great place for two reasons. The first its location on the mouth of the river entering the lake. Second the food, its was good, arranged nice at the plate, but my cordon bleu s still crying for a little more cheese in it. The service was excellent.

This is an unassuming village restaurant, but its attention to detail and the quality produce used have made it regionally quite well known and brought about the award of 13 out of 20 on the Gault-Millaut scale.They work mainly with local produce and fish from the nearby lake, some dishes are traditional and some are quite up to date. The "filet de perche" or "Eglifilets" baked in a batter and served with tartar sauce are a swiss classic and I have naver been surved such a light, classy, tasty version. The wine selection is excellent, with many quality local bottles at reasonable prices. A really good place for a family sunday lunch, for example. The 90 minutes drive from Geneva or 30 minutes from Bern are easily worthwhile, especially if combined with a hike in a magnificient part of Switzerland.

On a hot summer day I stopped there for a coffee break.The restaurant is conveniently located near the harbour and a 10-minute walk from Erlach bus station.The terrace is nice. However food and service are quite average. The Coupe Hechtebucht ice-cream was generous in quantity but rather tasteless.The waiter was friendly. But as I mentioned that he had forgotten the coffee on the bill, he just added the amount orally - but WITHOUT issuing a new cashier receipt. A bit "strange".

nice service people (self-service), restaurant looks like a camping-restaurant, if your expectation is not to high you will be satisfied. If you expect a nice dinner and nice atmosphere, don't eat in this restaurant. the muffins (not self made) are very good. the food was average.

I booked the night before and when we arrived were shown to the terrace in the sunshine. The service was friendly and caring. We had bread with mushrooms in olive oil which was good. Then very fresh salads and followed with the Italian lemon chicken with spinach and saffron rice. The chicken was ten out of ten !A few problems seemed to be happening with another large table with slow service but my guess was the customers were too fussy !We will go again happily.
