Vi stannade till här för att äta lunch här. De serverade svensk husmanskost till ett mycket humant pris (ännu billigare för pensionärer, vilket märktes). Maten var god och riklig, dock lite ynkligt salladsbord. Mycket prisvärt, verkligen valuta för pengarna.

Visiting the Glasriket of Smaland, in the south of Sweden we stayed in the Vetlanda area. We know several good places for dinner in the area, but in this time of year (may) these are either closed or just serve lunch. So we found our way to the restaurant of the Best Western Hotel in Vetlanda. All 4 of us had a good dinner, but we especially liked the large pair of beef and pork fillets. Grilled just right, these were served on an oak plank, with fresh ananas, grilled tomato and a choice of sauce (I chose garlic butter). To keep the juices on the plank, its rim was a strip of mashed potatoes, also grilled. Also nice, because the wood isolates heat, it kept the meal warm during the entire dinner. While the choice of desserts was a bit limited, the two of us who selected one were also well pleased with the taste and presentation.

Our bistro located in Centralhotellet is open Monday to Friday 17.00-21.00. We have a good selection of food and beverage.

Vi låg över på hotellet och middag skulle ätas. Visserligen låg vi centralt men vi valde ändå att äta här. Liten trevlig restaurang med trevlig personal och god och billig middagsmat. Lagom utbud. Att äta här kan rekommenderas.

If you don't want fast food, this is the only place the actually serves good food. Most of the staff are very professional. They have a decent selection of wine and beer and the make good drinks. The lunch buffet is very good aswell.
