Reviews on Swedish food in Sigtuna, Sigtuna Municipality, Stockholm County. Sigtuna is a picturesque lakeside town steeped in Swedish history. Founded in the late 10th century, it’s the oldest town in Sweden and still retains much of its medieval charm. During the Christmas season it becomes an even more magical place, as holiday markets pop up all over the city, selling local handicrafts and fragrant goodies. Paddle along Lake Mälaren, marvel at church ruins and runic stones or just explore the shops of the charming main street.

Stunning location and great views.Having said that, I'm not overly impressed with the quality of food. They have a bar, an ice cream shop which is always appreciated during summer.Weekends it gets quite busy add it seems to be a meeting point for motorcyclists and other tourists who visit the lovely town of Sigtuna.Worth visiting on a lovely summer's day.

A solid work has been done to make this a modern dining room.A little noisy premises in the absence of textiles. The kitchen shows a little anxious flirt with what's popular 5o kml north of Anstalten. However, a good craftsmanship with tasty combinations. In a large group like we were, it turned out that the food was not warm enough to be really enjoyable. The ranking is more something between average plus and very good
Beautiful location by the water in a lovely garden. Friendly and cosy atmosphere Were we serve traditionell swedish sandwich, local Beer and home made pasteries.
Had a great grill lunch at this restaurant/cafe today. Mixed grill included chorizo, pork chops and chicken. Grilled to perfection with 3 sauces, salad and the best sweet potato fries I have ever tasted. Super selection of beers. The rest of the menu was balanced between cold and hot selections. Full cafe menu including many different cakes/cookies.. Great to ba able to sit outside in the big garden. Personnel were very nice and the service was quick. HIghly recommended!

Iâve enjoyed both lunches and dinners at this place and make use of this hotel for my Dutch colleagues when they are visiting our Swedish office. The hotelâs restaurant is very good and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a fantastic location overlooking lake Mälaren. Summer times are the best when breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the garden overlooking the lake.

Been here a couple of times in the last year, have to say im pretty impressed with it lately! Last couple of years the restaurant has rebranded and refurbished, now the menu features everything from classic scandinavian to western cuisine. Try the meatballs, carbonara pasta or burger!

Restaurant & Bar
We ate here twice in July. Farbror Bla was busy and popular with locals, not to mention the Swedish world cup and a large TV screen. This will be a short review because everything was right. Not only right, but very good indeed. The staff bring it alive. The food is excellent and the general atmosphere is easy, casual and fun.

I took a party of 7 here for dinner, it was expensive but probably not by Swedish standards. The staff were very helpful and friendly but the portions were tiny, which was a surprise since this is not a nouvelle cuisine type of restaurant but a main stream Swedish one.Thank you for giving us feedback! Iâm very glad that you had a nice experience meeting our staff upon your visit in our restaurant.Regarding the pricing, weâre a medium price restaurant according to Swedish standards, and weâre know as affordable. We appreciate your thoughts of the proportion sizes and I will take this matter with our chef.Best regardsCaroline Folkesson Levin Hotel Manager Sigtuna Stadshotell

The summer menu has some very tasty offerings. The small/intimate and different setup in the restaurant right on the water do require booking in advance except if you sit outside. Great staff not getting in your way but come with the food at the right time makes it all pleasantly. Greatest view in town of the lake Mälaren.
