What can you say; you need to book weeks, or even months in advance. It's so popular because it's so special. Chef Yamamoto combines traditional Japanese cuisine with local dutch ingredients. He investigates and researches the best of both worlds. Not always with outstanding results but always an exciting experience.And then you can get a sake, directly imported from Japan, to match most every dish. The only downside, you can't get in on a spur of the moment..

Our waitress did not speak English so she got someone to translate the menu and give wonderful descriptions and recommendations. Everything was piping hot and delicious. This was in the opposite direction of most restaurants in the area so we were grateful to find it in TripAdvisor's top 10 in Vlaardingen.

On recommendation we did a take away here as we were running late to cook back home, and, we were not dissapointed, very very fresh and a nice variety as well. 'Unlimited' 'Japanese food' suppose to be the best in Vlaardingen for sushi. If that is the case I feel a bit sad for the inhabitants of Vlaardingen. Sushi is ok as well as the warm dishes. Unlimited is not really unlimited as there are 4 rounds of max 5 dishes per person during a 2,5h seating. Is plenty food but for the very big eaters not enough. Big minus is that ordered food often do not arrive to your table.Young and not so experienced staff.

Treated ourselves again to Hamachi's finest, the special sushi & selected sashimi and man, it was as good as it gets. Wonderful fresh fish served they way they do in Asakusa or in the Chojiro in Kyoto. Very friendly staff. Will come here again and again.
