We visited Shirahama in June, when it was clearly off-season and rainy. The town was a ghost-town and it seemed we were the only tourists around. So, the first evening we searched online for whatever info we could find on restaurants and found ourselves here. It was early evening and we were the firsts guests and sat at the bar. We ordered Sashimi set, Chirashi set and Sushi set. All came with a delicious Miso soup cooked by the wife of the owner-Sushi-Chef, who also made the Tamago to die for. Though the elderly couple did not speak English, they had a simple menu printed out and with a few words and body language, we managed. The Sushi was delicious, the rice cooked and seasoned to perfection. The owner saw our enjoyment and treated us with extra slices of fresh fish here, tamago there, and was especially happy looking at our son licking his fingers. We had a lovely evening there and recommend it to anyone looking for a non-touristic place at this ultra touristic town (in the season....)

I had a lunch with my wife and her family. The restaurant is near the popular big hotel "Musashi hotel" in Shirahama. I ordered course menu with Sushi and tempura with around 20 EUR. This course was tasty and the performance on cost was very good. I loved the Sushi with sea urchin "UNI" the best. This restaurant is recommendable for those who want to enjoy the tasty Japanese cuisine with reasonable cost.

Wouldn't say that this restaurant is that good, pretty much the same as a kaisen sushi anywhere else in Tokyo. I didn't feel like the food was that great and I wouldn't put this in the top 10 in Shirahama.

We went to the Ko Sushi restaurant for lunch prior to our arrival in Shirahama. The food was excellent, lobsters both sashimi made or grilled were fresh and very yummy indeed. The sushi and other seafood offered in the restaurant are of utmost excellence made by experienced chefs. The service was also excellent, waiters enjoy their work in the restaurant and staff even proactively gave us tea in a new cup and wet towels. The ambience was very good, it is filled with Japanese styled environment such as a small lake outside installed with flowing water. The tatami styled dining area was cosy and installed with a heater, which gave warmth to our feet. The price was although expensive, quite reasonable. Staff even gave some mandarins to us without a charge. Overall, a really excellent meal and deserves the five star tripadvisor ranking. Well Done!
