This place is a new and modern restaurant/bar in the charming area of Shimoda city. We highly recommend this place due to few reasons :- great atmosphere,- good food, - not expensive, - great people working there.That has made our experience at this restaurant very fun and pleasant !

Just walked into the restaurant and found the chef over 80 years old. Very nice and fresh sushi with excellent skills making them since 1945. Definitely will go again next time when visiting Shimoda.

It's not that easy to find but it's on a main street and really worth it!The sushis were fresh, tasty and perfectly crafted by a skilled "sushi-man". We asked for not too much wasabi and he made an effort for us. Even if they didn't speak English, the staff was helpful and guided us on our choices (no English menu).We were not disappointed, some of the best sushis we tried in Japan, for a reasonable price.

Half the lunch menu was not available. While the food we got was fresh and good, the service was lacking. When asked about ordering a local beer was advised to get some at the local market.

下田にあるお寿司屋さんです。地魚寿司と金目尽くしを注文しました。特別おいしいというわけではないのですが普通においしいかったです。下田だったので、期待が大きすぎたかもしれません。今度は鯵丼を注文したいです。

Probably not the best sushi you're going to have, but not too bad. The staff was very welcoming and the place has a diner-feel to it. Prices are ok.

we waited half an hour to have a seat because we went there at 5 p.m. but the place open at 5.30 he conveyor belt was not running so we had to choose from the menu(english) the pieces were quite good but not with the best taste we have been used in Japan. very good unagi.
