Good service and excellent food. The set lunch is great value for money. Salmon belly sashimi was cut thick and very fresh. The service was great despite the full lunch crowd. Highly recommend this restaurant.

After reading rave reviews about the weekend "premium" buffet, and since i was doing a staycation in Saujana I made a reservation for 1pm on Sunday to satisfy my japanese food craving. 1. Atmosphere was good. Restaurant overlooks a pond and the interior looks promising of a good japanese restaurant. 2. Service was decent, staff reasonably attentive. 3. Generally food was mediocre at best. 4. Good amount of ala-carte style buffet selection. 5. I reached there at 1pm, they ran out of salmon sashimi, prawns, scallops, and a whole lot of ingredients by 1.30pm, much to the ire of myself and a lot of other diners. 6. Despite it being marketed as a premium buffet, the food especially the sashimi was no better in presentation, quality, taste and value than what you can get from the conveyor belt in Sushi King. In fact, i can vouch that Sakae Sushi offers better quality sashimi judging from the last i visited it. 7. The unagi that was served was of the worst quality with its thick and rubbery skin and not much meat that is drowned in thickened sauce. 8. Japanese curry chicken came with a whole lot of rice and not enough gravy, and tiny shred of chicken meat. 9. Only teppanyaki was ok with its beef and salmon done just about right. However, the station also ran out of prawns and scallops and some other ingredients not halfway into the lunch service.

This restaurant truly took me by surprise (in a good way). It's located on the bottom most floor of Shah Alam Mall, so the ambience is guaranteed to be quiet. My fiance and I had a maki and mushroom teppanyaki which was quite nice in my opinion. The price point is also reasonable. A nice alternative to all the Malay-centric food in Shah Alam.
