We had a very nice dinner at this restaurant. The Ambiente is very nice, food has been delicious and service was very friendly (good job Andy!). Even though all tables have been occupied, we always felt well served and very comfortable. Most import, sushi and fresh fish has been very yummy. Definitely a place to recommend!!!

Reviews on Trip Advisor lead a group of four who were traveling throughout the Netherlands to Vigo and we were well rewarded. It is a small restaurant that was filled with locals when we arrived. The menu is focused on North Sea products including some incredible oysters that set the meal off on good footing. The staff was efficient and knowledgeable and wine list was limited but had many good options and was reasonably priced. The local sea bass that was featured on our visit was stellar. Encore is one of those foodie-hipster restaurants where the well-paid clientele should be treated on what the family Simonis has to offer. The sushi starter was drenched in mayonnaise but somewhat edible, which was too much of an ask for the main dish of exceptionally salty and over-grilled brill. The best part of the meal was actually the bread.Service was pushy-ish, but rather OK. The bill - just as salted - came to 65 EUR a head with only water to drink. Now, that is excessive given the poor quality of the food.Shun this place.

I found Hans Roeleveld online through one of the delivery services and thought I'd give them a try. I don't mind spending money on great sushi, however the previous reviews are defiantly misleading. I ordered both the Spicy Tuna and Crunchy Tempura. Sushi is one of my favorites and they missed the mark big time on theirs. While I managed to eat the Crunchy Tempura the Spicy Tuna was terrible. They restaurant also failed to send any chopsticks or soy sauce with the meal. I also had the fish soup which was ok, but have very minimal flavor. Overall I wouldn't spend another 50 Euros to eat here again.
