The restaurant looks more like a sports bar than a sushi restaurant, but it's clean and has friendly staff. I ordered the orange chicken bento box and found that the sauce included with the box is a tad overpowering. The salad I received was mostly comprised of old, bitter lettuce, and the salad dressing was very chunky. The miso soup was good, and the rice was well-cooked, sticky, and tasty. The orange chicken itself was cooked with orange peels, probably for flavor, but they blend in so well with the chicken that I almost ate one. My friend ordered beef teriyaki, yakitori, and crab rangoons. The teriyaki and rangoons were goo, but the yakitori was tough and undercooked; my friend send this part of the meal back, and it was removed from the ticket with no issues. The meals come with free dessert cups. The bathrooms were clean, but there was a creepy picture of a clown in the hall nearby, which was a little off-putting.

We were addicted to the original and at one time only Wasabi on Washington in downtown St Louis...just moved back into town and heard that they are now everywhere, so had to go back. Went to this location and oh my how bad it's become!! The menu is so very generic and looks like so many other bigger city mall sushi restaurants. Rolls are unoriginal and the ones we ordered we couldn't even finish! The maguro sushi was dry and weirdly colored and our Geisha roll tasted off...one of the first times we couldn't finish our boat! The squid salad was the exact same product that I buy at Sam's. What was OK were the stuffed jalapeños and edamame. Our egg rolls came out dark and over cooked, left one of the three you get uneaten. Service was adequate but the server was unfamiliar with the rolls and cocktails...and by cocktails I mean vodka on the rocks. It hurts to write this as this was one of my favorite and most memorable restaurants...I am devastated that I have to check this off my places to dine...
