Specialty Japanese Mexican fusion.
We had dinner here. Well , at the one at the grand oasis. Really wonderful flavors to the rolls, soup, and really everything we had. Fajitas aren't what Americans think, it was more like a fajita fried rice but still tasty. Highly recommend.

I had Samura on my short list of possible dinner choices during our family vacation to Cancun. Samura is not in the hotel zone, but do not let that interfere with your decision to go. The restaurant itself is in a great part of Cancun and is very well maintained. Everything seemed to shine like it is brand new. The staff was excellent especially Armando and Sergio. We were treated like royalty. The food was excellent. The sushi was great! We ordered two rolls with our entrees and it was all fantastic. The vibe was great. The price was also very reasonable, I was very pleased with our bill. We went fairly late around 9:00 and had no problem getting a reservation. Cab service to and from restaurant was like clock work. All in all, we loved Samura and highly recommend it.

The owner is Japanese and the food selection is very nice. The last few times the sake was old, so I stopped ordering it. Now I just get beer or something else. Although the chefs are not Japanese, he seems to have trained them to produce a good product.

We went to Irori, because I miss so much to eat Japanese food as I am Japanese descendant. First the service was not good, the food took ages to be ready! We ordered sushi, good for modern taste, so as I wanted something more traditional I ordered tempura udon... after another time waiting, it was too salty. Bad experience... really sorry, because I had many recommendations.
