We have been twice, and the food has been delicious both times. The Thai style fish is cooked perfectly, and delicious. And the tomato and cucumber salads are a great addition to the fish.Thank you for the review and allowing us to serve you dinner tonight

This sophisticated casual restaurant located on the Manatee River offers indoor and outdoor waterfront dining with an extensive scratch-made menu ranging from sushi, fresh fish, choice steaks, and wild game. Reservations are accepted for parties of 2-300.
This restaurant was described as Casual, Upscale Dining. It is definitely worth the extra cost. We had a fantastic dinner overlooking the water. The service was perfect and the food delicious. The menu was large and varied. We started with Pumpkin Colada, which is a fall specialty. It was absolutely delicious. We felt we were having dessert first. We decided to order from the appetizer menu. I had Crab Artichoke Spring Rolls. Very unusual and delicious! We both had lamb lollipops. They were coated with bread crumbs and served with delicious mint sauce. This restaurant is a must when visiting the Bradenton area.

This place has become my new GO TO place. The atmosphere is so much better with music as an added bonus. The food has improved enormously since the new owners took over. The sushi is fresh. The lobster bisque and the flat bead were delicious. I loved the amazing shrimp appetizer while enjoying a martini dockside with my husband. Drinks are reasonably priced and there is a wonderful view to enjoy anytime.I would recommend this picturesque place to anyone looking for a great time and delicious food.

This was our second trip to Hideko. Once for lunch and once for dinner. They did not disappoint. It is a small store front establishment but with a charming feel! Spotlessly clean, sushi chefs preparing amazing sushi in front of you! Wide variety of Asian and Thai specialties on the menu. We love the spider roll and it was the best we have ever had! 12 pieces of sushi that was beautifully presented. We also had a salad which was very fresh and the ginger dressing was on point. Price was very reasonable for such good food! I am anxious to try some of the Thai dishes next time we visit! Thanks Hideko!

I've been to the large Chinese buffets that are more Vegas style with 20 stations and include everything from spaghetti to mac and cheese. By the time you get to your table your food is cold.King's is the opposite! It's small and more limited stations. What I really appreciate is that the buffet dishes have a minimal amount to keep them fresh and hot, and then they replenish them frequently. This is a family business and it is a hole in the wall! If you want fancy ambiance, not your place! Don't judge by the outside. But it is clean, they are gracious and I love how the offerings change from lunch to dinner to weekends, where more shellfish is offered, including oysters and even froglegs. The pepper shrimp, walnut shrimp, fried zucchini and soup are awesome! There is also a sushi station and full salad bar, desserts and ice cream. I think this is ideal for families. They do offer cheap wine by the glass.Again, the food stays hot and fresh. Service is quick and hands down I'll take this small Chinese buffet over the grandiose versions.
