This is a local place that's always crowded for lunch a dinner. It's kaiten (conveyer belt), but you can order directly from the sushi chef behind the counter. Excellent fresh fish, changes daily according to the market, though many standbys are always available. This is the kind of local place that you'll probably not find in a guidebook, but you'll have a great experience.

Wow, what can I say?! I've eaten good sushi before, but this was taking it to an other level. We visited Kissui a Friday night in February and was pleasantly surprised that we were able to get 2 seats the same week we booked. The restaurant has 10 chairs (around the sushi chef table), and is rewarded 2 stars in the Michelin guide. It's a set price (we paid 15000 yen per person) and you get what the chef has planned for the evening. We were a little afraid we would 1) get "difficult" sushi that we wouldn't be able to eat and 2) would make fools out of ourselves as we don't speak Japanese. Well, all the dishes/ pieces we got was super delicious and the chef would gracefully guide us to what we should use and when (soy sauce/ salt / wasabi etc.). They use an aged rice that gave a distinct taste, but it matched the fish beautifully. We will come back.

This is an Edo style sushi restaurant. Which means tastes follow Tokyo flavor not Kansai flavor profile. Basically sushi is a more savory than the sweeter Kansai taste.That been said, it is very good. We wanted abalone, they took the abalone from the tank and harvested it in front of us. We wanted red clams, the same. When the person next to us wanted sea eel, they also took it out of the aquarium and served it fresh. Everything was fresh as can be. While I prefer a Kansai taste over Tokyo - it was still a very good experience.They also have a sake tasting. This is also quite fun to try different types.Lots of free parking in the parking lot across the street.

駐車場完備。事前予約可能です。店舗は駐車場の上です。待合スペースが広いのに驚きました。久しぶりにくら寿司に来ましたが、かぐや姫をイメージした竹風の筒に入ったお寿司や、糖質オフのラーメン（実は麺なし）など新メニューがありました。サイドメニューが多いのもうれしいです。気がつくとたくさん食べてしまうので注意です。
