Older place that smells like old cooking oils and dirty carpet. Overall, pretty greasy and dirty (especially the carpet). I hope the kitchen/cooking areas are cleaner than the dining areas. There is outdoor patio area. Lunch bento was good sized, but just barely average. Music loud. Won't be back.

Independent and locally owned and operated since 2008. We're a full service restaurant serving a variety of sushi from sashimi to specialty and traditional rolls. Our kitchen prepares many fish, chicken and steak dishes along with appetizers and salads. W
Family in Arizona suggested we vist Nakama for dinner, waited 20 minutes on a Friday evening, which isn't bad, and well worth the wait. The menu covers many types of Cusine in addition to the Sushi. The Sushi selection for a dessert location is second to none. Look forward to my next visit.

Visiting my mom and she took me to this wonderful casual small sushi restaurant on the way home from the airport. Don't pass it by just because it isn't a large place with fancy decor. The service and food were excellent. I included pictures of most of our dinner. For sushi rolls - the Blue Flame roll is a must for crab lovers, and the California rolls for those who enjoy rolls that are not raw fish. The Korean BBQ short rib appetizers had the best, juicy caramelized flavor and texture. Chicken teriyaki was also delicious - tender with great flavor and perfectly cooked. The mixed tempura was also wonderful - few places master the art of crispy, tasty tempura like this restaurant. It was not greasy and was lightly coated with crunchy batter. We arrived there close to closing time and they could not have been more welcoming. We were not rushed, and our server let us take our time deciding. The only disappointment is I wish I lived in Goodyear because I would dine here weekly!
