We came here unexpectedly after travelling all the way from Victoria to find the other Japanese restaurant closed (though reported open on Facebook) nearby. Good news! This place was open and clean and we were seated promptly and served our fresh food in sizeable portions at very reasonable prices. Washrooms are wheelchair accessible. Loved the various ceramic bowls used to serve the food, the Asian decor, the cute dining booths, and a few large monitors mounted high for those sport buffs who need to watch while dining. Even more memorable was our send-off: when we got up to leave the restaurant, the servers called out âgoodbyeâ which was then followed by more loud goodbyes from the guys prepping the sushi behind the counter. Sweet. I Recommend!
Wow! A lil gem of a place in Langford's Goldstream Village tucked away beside City Hall. Rolls are delicious, and artfully made with care and attention. We ordered Tuna Toro Roll, Salmon Cowboy, and Dynamite and all were very good. Not huge in size but intentional so every bite is fresh, flavourful and just right. Prices are appropriate for well made sushi. Menu is limited, making preparation manageable for the lone sushi chef. Can see how this place could get busy with only two staff members working. Restaurant is tiny, quaint and clean, and service is friendly and attentive - the couple are nice, hardworking people and genuinely care about the experience offered to customers visiting their restaurant. There were only two tables occupied when we visited on a Tuesday evening, with many people stopping in for take-out. We noticed everyone else were "regulars" on a first name basis with the owners. Can't wait to go back and be regulars ourselves! Definitely worth a visit.
