I would not have expected to have such delicious Japanese food in the middle of Kampala, but I did! This restaurant was recommended to me by some ex-pats in Kampala. The atmosphere is lovely and relaxing, the service was good and the food was every bit as good as I have eaten before and was at a good price. Ambience: excellent. Service: very good. The main courses (both Korean and Japanese) that we ordered were quite good too, but AVOID THE SUSHI. The sushi FISH was great (so the sashimi is fine) but at least 50% of sushi taste is in the rice - and this rice was totally flavorless. I tried to find *some* hint of vinegar in the sushi rice, but couldn't find any at all. I'd be surprised if they put vinegar in their sushi rice. My girlfriend commented that the sushi rice was also soggy, but the complete blandness of the rice was way more disturbing.

Fully Japanese and excellent ambience although smaller portions require you order more than one course. The meal is worth the wait although one ingredient for my juice order had run out when I visited.Thank you very much for dining with us and writing a review, OchwoN!We are sorry for failing to serve your order by missing an ingredient. We shall improve our stock management so we can fully satisfy you next time!We would like you to enjoy various types of food in a meal, so we make the portion moderate-sized. However our platters (SUMIBIYAKI, SUSHI, starters) are relatively big in volume, so we are sure you will be satisfied with an order! Had an enjoyable lunch, the variety was great. Good service and the staff were pleasant.
