Went here for the first time this week. the atmosphere was cozy, the service was friendly and the food was great. My wife, not liking Sushi, had a cooked fish dish which she said was excellent. i had two different sushi plates. One had a 3 pepper emblem which is supposed to be the hottest. It was just right for me. I didn't consider it too hot. I also had their house cold sake and it was also excellent. We will be back.

The variety and presentation of sushi and other dishes was surprising to find in a Hillsboro strip of restaurants. The decor was modern and upbeat, but the food is the reason to come. It was fresh and delicious. The sauces are light, but savory, with just enough sweetness. We ordered a vegetable tempura assortment. The large pieces of vegetables were cooked to perfection, with a tasty dipping sauce. The sushi rolls were delectable! Named after the states, you have 50 choices, besides all the dinner options on the menu. Maryland was slightly sweet. Kentucky was a little spicy, but not too intense. The flavors combined for a party of deliciousness. Vegetarians, you can enjoy this place.

This is a small restaurant, which serves sushi as well as regular dinner entrees. I ordered a couple of nigiri items, a specialty roll, the miso soup, and a side order of the shrimp tempura. Pros: Salmon nigiri was excellent White tiger roll was excellentShrimp tempura on side was good Cons: The Eel nigiri was not good. It was extremely chewy and tasteless. The service was slow, perhaps because the servers were overloaded, but the lack of eye contact when trying to get their attention was annoying. I am giving it a 4, but really itâs closer to 3.5.

Came here for lunch. Salad with house dressing was fantastic, fresh, and actually quite large for a side salad. Rainbow roll was fresh, tight, and not soggy. Nice clean restaurant, great atmosphere, and very friendly and prompt service. We ate lunch in the bar area, which as very nice.

This is by far my favorite sushi bar in Hillsboro. Its a real sushi bar, no carousel, so expect higher quality and a bit higher price. The service is excellent and the sushi amazing. Its perfect to visit by yourself or with family and friends. They offer Japanese beers on tap which is a real treat.

We visited Hero sushi on a recent Saturday night for the first time and we're pleasantly surprised. Location is somewhat hidden in a neighborhood strip mall next to a bar and some doctors offices. The short distance to the evergreen movie theater had us find this place (only 5 min by car) as we had an hour until our movie.I was super happy that they also have patio seating as I love sitting outside instead inside the chilly (air conditioned) restaurant. The menu is extensive and there are pictures of the special rolls. (See photos)Food came super fast and service was friendly and wonderful. The rolls are larger than you would find at the belt places or other made to order restaurants. I had one appetizer and two orders of rolls and it was plenty of food. This restaurant is a hidden gem in my opinion and we will come back again.
