I was first attracted, and deterred, by the large sign on this new restaurant's exterior wall: "All you can eat Sushi!" Certainly, a place that offers this can't be very good, right? Fortunately, I checked out the restaurant's interior and menu, and came away impressed with both and decided to come back to try it at a later date. Wow - am I glad I did! I was on vacation in the area and came back twice. This sushi place (also serving Korean fare) is as good, or better, than any other Japanese/Korean restaurant in the area. They have a huge selection of sushi and sashimi items, and a number of them appear absolutely original with this restaurant. Thank goodness I ordered the Sashimi Salad - it was one of the best things I've had in any restaurant, anywhere! Four or five kinds of sashimi, combined with spring greens and sprouts, all accompanied by the most delicate ginger salad dressing I've ever had! At $14.95, and in good quantity, this is one of the best deals on the menu. Unless you're really hungry, this salad is all you might need. I can't say enough about this place, it is so good. The "All you can eat sushi" thing? It's the real thing, currently priced at $25/person, and if you're hungry and love sushi, go for it! The second time I went with my son and his family, and didn't mind paying the $100 bill, leaving a $30 tip and $10 for the sushi chefs - so good was the meal and the service. (And, no, we didn't do the "All you can eat" special.) If you like fermented Korean dishes, you'll want to ask for a sampling of their Ban-chan - it's not on the menu and it should be.

Stumble across Sushi 805 several times while in town, and finally decided to stop in on a weekday evening. Not much to look at from the outside, but the inside is nicely decorated and clean. Not overly large on the inside and probably seat maybe abut 50 people or so. They have a very large menu selection, and also an "All You Can Eat" option which is what we decided to do, since we like Sushi. They bring you a checklist and you pick out what you want as the first round of Sushi, the only limitation that they had was on Oysters, but other then that as much of everything that you want. Everything appear to be made fresh once you order and then bring the items out as they are finished being made. The overall quality and taste was excellent, and we tried about a dozen different items between the two of us, and did not have any that we did not enjoy. The All You Can Eat price was $24.95 each, which is an excellent price for the quantity of food that you can get. If you like Sushi then you need to try "Sushi 805" would highly recommend ....

Came with a big group(6). Place was packed because it was a friday night. Oir food came out very quickly. The servers were friendly and the place was clean. Ordered a variety of menu items from the spicy tuna roll, Philadelphia roll, lobster roll, fireball and even teriyaki chicken. No complaints

Umi is an awesome sushi chef and uses the freshest organic local ingredients. I'm an adventurous vegetarian foodie, and she makes great sushi customized to my tastes. I had a "Vampire's kiss" roll with berry sauce, chili oil, garlic chips, veggies and tofu slices that took the place of the fish. The flavors were amazing! My husband's "Vampire's kiss" roll had unagi, crab and tuna, along with the sauce, oil and garlic chips. She also makes me a roll that's similar to the Krispy roll that is very good. A little pricey but you get what you pay for!

Love sushi (husband doesn't) but it satisfied us both and we are thankful our local friends took us here. They have traditional sushi/sashimi/entrees but also very creative rolls and other items. All the fish is fresh, tasty & gorgeous presentation. It reminded us of our favorite hometown sushi place, Yashima in Covina, CA....enjoy!

We had dinner here on a Thursday night. Very nice ambience. The place is well laid out and spacious. The staff were very friendly and professional. And the sushi was exceptional. I recommend the tuna and the salmon sushi, together with the OMG roll. The yaki soba was also very tasty. This is an excellent option for sushi if you were staying in or visiting Pismo Beach. There is also a very romantic, beautiful view of the coastline.
