MERCAT 1930 Palma Gastronomic Market is the gastronomic market located on the Paseo MarÃtimo of Palma (next to Titos disco). It has a wide variety of cuisines in 12 stalls with different types of food and one specialized drinks bar; with a large terrace o
We were delighted to discover this place had opened within walking distance of our hotel. Ate lunch here and the food quality was very good. However, we found the choices were slightly limited, compared to the Gastonomic Market San Juan. Was also disappointed that the croquette stall would only serve portions of 8 croquettes, no less. However, would be happy to come here again, next time we visit Palma.

Nice surprise to find a place like this in the busy and touristic Palma. A mimic of a quite real jap tabern with a tasteful and fine a la carte offer. Let the skilled waiter to suggest you.
The new owner has completely transformed this restaurant into a funky place with a charming roof-top terrace. As others have said, the service is professional and attentive. We had the pleasure of having young Luca serve our table. My American father said that his tenderloin was the best cut of meat he has had on the island. The children liked the sushi and one had the yellow chili chicken. He said the chicken was great and the potatoes were like spicy, fluffy clouds. I had the Pluma Iberica which a fattier cut of pork especially prized by the Spaniards. It was properly prepared and very tasty but you must like this kind of fattier cut to appreciate this dish.Everyone but my eldest son was too full for dessert. He ordered the chocolate soup and enjoyed it as well.I highly recommend this restaurant. Their website gives the full menu so you can see if there is something for everyone in your group before you go.The only negative is the location for parking. It is very difficult, so be prepared to walk a bit after parking, but donât let this deter you from trying out this little gem of a restaurant!
