Hi,My family and close friends have supported this Park Rand branch on a regular basis for as long as i can remember. As in years.We have all watched as many managers have come and gone and we have witnessed many ups and downs in service as the new has taken the reigns from the old. We have come back again and again because of excellent quality food which has made up for any indifference in service.Unfortunately, over the past two years or so, the scales have shifted sufficiently and for long enough that I will no longer be supporting you as my first choice for a sit-down meal.I sat down with my wife last night, 4 January, to a pretty full place. We got a seat in a familiar spot at the back. We were handed menus by a new waitress but placed them one side as we know our orders off the top of our heads by now. After placing the order we received our drinks and waited for our starter spring rolls.After a perfectly reasonable period of time I received my hot chilli chicken and my wife received two thirds of her sushi order. We thought perhaps she was going back to bring the last portion but after a few minutes we quizzed her on this and were told we must just wait a bit because they are busy. When we asked where our starters were, because we expected them first we were informed similarly. We aslo asked why the sushi was brought on individual plates without ginger or wasabi. the entire experience was draining and I may only consider take-aways from this establishment in future as the sit-down service has become a disaster.As a result we stood up, walked out and left.It will take a big change to get us back.John081 585 5064

Were so happy with John Dory's at Shelly Centre KZN, that we were anxcious to try this one.O my!Prawns were small and tasteless. Very very disappointed. What was once a great restaurant as been allowed to go downhill. Understaffed. Every course we tried to order was missing something. At the end of the evening tried to order cocktails and ingredients missing. Ended the evening early because we got tired of being let down. Manager wasnât bothered as he felt it was the owners fault.

Had lunch at the Ocean Basket in Sunward Park. Sashimi for starters and the Hake and calamari combo for main. R 244.00 Although the food is good, not so affordable as it used to be. Went there for lunch.. Order ther seafood platter for 2 to share. Generous fresh seafood such as clams, calamari, shrimp, tuna, mussels , and oysters. Server was great and friendly . Visited a few times in May 2017. Sushi is fresh and delicous. Chow Mein is superb. Place could be a bit cleaner. We had a cockroach on our Coke can witch was not good. Will not be visiting again soon

we had a meal here with friends which as with a previous visit offered an extensive menu, reasonable value but they again served cold food on cold plates. I cannot understand why this restaurant cannot do a "Simply Asian" thing like serving hot food? We may try one more time as the restaurant does have a nice buzz going for it.
