Lemon Grass Thai Cuisine and Sushi Bar took roots in Maryville in 2002. Since then, the traditional cuisine has provided a place for fine dining and superb Thai and Japanese cuisine.
This is a top-tier local restaurant with food that is consistently perfect (5-star food). Carryout experience, however, is lowered significantly by the amateur packaging. For $12-15 a person, a customer expects the food to have a good chance of surviving the car ride. The styrofoam boxes are stacked high inside white grocery store bags that are knotted. No way those arenât falling over *every turn* while in a car. Until Lemon Grass improves this, bring a box or something to put the carryout containers in. (But still give them a try bc food is great.)

I'm always hesitant about a review for any buffet. One reason, I do not care if you go once a year or once a day, it will be different. This place especially, not saying that makes it bad. However one thing you can rely on, there will only be 2 people that will take your money. The staff probably won't speak English so go to the money man or woman or get it yourself. They do not mind. Today I could not find chopsticks and I did not ask.You get spoon soup and fork and napkin. Now for the food. Sushi is par. The hibachi is great, and the other steam tables are what you like. Fried, steamed, baked, and worked. The desert and salad table is good if you like those thingsI do not like the tea Chinese hot tea served so I stay with iced water. Today the steamed rice was perfect. The maki roll was good but same rice The fried food is not overly greasy but get it fresh. They are always bringing new portions out. They change menu often as 5 months ago it was great, however today different taste in the soup too much thickener ie cornstarch. Not so much ms. Not so much sugar. Soy sauce I'm fond of and even though they use kikkoman servers. I'm sure it is not the real deal. It did taste oke. Beef was fine, fish always fine,I did not eat so much because I was just on lunch break and not nap time. Do not be afraid to go in. They see a lot of people but somehow the moneymen knows you, he is courteous in his own way. CHINESE

I was in Maryville this past weekend for the College's Homecoming festivities, and when I asked my granddaughter, a student at Maryville College this year(!!), where she would like me to take her for a Friday evening dinner, she suggested Sakura. Wonderful suggestion and absolutely no disappointments!! I'm sure we'll return for other sushi dinners during her time at Maryville. Also, first-rate service, too!GO SCOTS! :)

We are Japanese owned Japanese restaurant. Traditional sushi, authentic Japanese, and hibachi in Maryville. We also offer BOGO happy hour everyday until 6:30 pm (except for Monday and Tuesday night). 50% off Tuna on Monday night, 50% off shrimp on Tuesday
The service was prompt and considerate. Most of the food was very good, especially the tempura. We also had soba and ramen noodle bowls --- and a delicious gyoza (dumplings). We really only had one complaint, but it is significant for a Japanese restaurant. The octopus tempura was bad. It was served as two portions, nicely fried and served with two dipping sauces. The first piece was ok, but a little tough. The second piece was inedible due to a very strong ammonia smell. (A hallmark of bad fish.) when we brought this to our server's attention, we were not charged for the entree. However, the damage had been done. Any restaurant calling itself Japanese should NEVER be serving such obviously bad seafood.
