During our recent trip to Rome, I let my husband select a place for dinner on Fatherâs Day. He chose I Pizzicaroli- a small, quaint and casual place with limited seating inside and out. They put together a fabulous basket of cheeses and meats from small family farms in Umbria and Abruzzo. The basket also included fresh breads, interesting spreads, olives, etc... Plus, we ordered some porchetta which came warm on a board with fresh bread once again. Wine and beer completed our meal. It was all SO GOOD and the experience was very relaxing! If youâre looking for something casual other than pasta and pizza, this is the place! The staff were really nice too.It was a pleasure to serve you,we hope to see you again!I Pizzicaroli

We found this place after a few drinks in Trastevere and Iâm glad we did! Best wine bar we visited during our trip. We shared a meet and cheese platter and a bottle of wine. All of the meats and cheeses were explained to us and every one was perfect. At the end of our meal we asked for a limoncello only to find they had none in so one of the guys ran across the road to a nearby bar and brought two ice cold limoncellos for us for free! Very welcoming staff and amazing food.

Had lunch here several times over the last couple of years. Worth the little walk from Piazza Navona - also the site where Julius Caesar was killed is just five minutes down the road (now a stray cat sanctuary). The food here is amazing and homemade by the owner. You can really see the love and attention he puts into every dish and customer. Highly recommend and even better the locals are always in so you know youâre getting the real Italian experience!
