Reviews on Steakhouse food in York, England, United Kingdom. Just two hours north of London by rail, the city of York holds 1900 years' worth of history in its ancient walls. The Romans built the city in 71 AD, and the Vikings captured it in 866 AD. Stop by the Yorkshire Museum and Gardens for a look at what the Roman and Vikings left behind (they must have packed light when they left). From there, move on to the York Castle Museum for a not-so-quick overview of the most recent 400 years.

Here at Vaqueiros, we offer a traditional Brazilian dining experience with authentic Rodizio style service alongside an exquisite choice of fresh, prime cuts of meat. Vaqueiros, the classic horse-mounted livestock herders, brought their trade across to Am
We always like to try something different so this Brazilian restaurant attracted our attention. Basically it is a meat feast with all you can eat of magnificently cooked meats. There is an excellent salad bar with more items than i can mention. The waiter comes to your table with large skewers about every 5 minutes with fillet, rump. sirloin and other steaks and slices off a large piece for you. lamb, pork, gammon, salted and chilli flavoured meats are also on offer as is chicken with bacon.i ate more than i should of as it was just so good, truly stuffed, If you go out hungry you only have yourself to blame. All in for £25 a head. Good selection of drinks to wash it all down with. Best meal out for a long time, highly recommended.

This is a quaint, out of the way exception in the middle of Yorkâs over commercialised scene. The food was marvellous, everything ordered was fresh and cooked to perfection. Couple this beautiful food with the quiet, candle lit atmosphere and a level of service that is homely and professional. This is a hidden gem, off the beaten track though among the best eateries in York

York's best Steak House. Over the years weâve raised a few eyebrows with our name, and many have said our interior is certainly quirky if not a little risqué, which we love as we want to be unique and fun. When it comes to the food and drinks we serve how
It never disappoints!!!Whenever we come to York we always make sure we visit The Whippet Inn.This is the home of quality food, superb wines, fabulous gins and wonderful service...An adult only restaurant gives it an air of calm and sophistication...but it is not pretentious...It prides itself on top quality local steaks and itâs menu is primarily meat based. My husband had the New York cut and he said it was absolutely incredible. I am a vegan so to choose to dine here may seem strange however they do have vegan dishes and enjoyed a tasty main course of roasted cauliflower and beetroot. Our starters and the sorbet course were just as tasty as our main courses...accompanied by red wine for my husband and gin for myself it was the perfect evening....Thank you again to all the staff at The Whippet Inn...you never let us down.
