A Little Relaxation with your Recreation! Minervas Grill and Bar in Yankton, SD is found inside the Best Western Kelly Inn, where we are a local favorite as well as a destination for visitors. Customers rave about our hand-cut, in-house aged steaks, fresh
This is a top place in Yankton, and they delivered on that during out visit. We visited here after work, some were locals some were here on business. We started out with drinks - the beer offerings were varied enough for all to get what they wanted. The menu has enough variety for everyone. I tasted the honey BBQ wings and had some of the Asian lettuce wraps as appetizers. Both were hits at the table. For the entree, I got the chicken with the spicy Thai sauce. The sauce has great flavors, spicy but not overly hot. It was a tasty and filling meal. Excellent overall meal and service, and I will be back when I return for business.Thank you for the wonderful review and rating, O8140WHrichardg - it sounds like your group had a fun time with us earlier this summer, and the team at Minervas Yankton is thankful for your patronage! We hope to earn another visit from you the next time you are in town for business. Cheers!

Located on the bank of the Missouri River, with gorgeous views of Gavins Point Dam and Yankton. We proudly serve Steaks, Seafood, Burgers, Chicken, Salads and Desserts. "The only thing we overlook is the river."
Based on Trip Advisor #1 ranking, I came here. No walleye on the menu so I asked about their fish basket. âOur famous fish filetsâ she said. What kind of fish was it before it became famous? I asked. âAlaskan pollackâ. I ordered it. Mistake. No basket but a larger type platter. A normal amount of fries and 4 lonely small pieces of fried fish. I actually first thought they screwed up and served 4 pieces of smelt. The platter was UNDERWHELMED! You shouldnât see that much platter/basket thru the food. So that was presentation - is the restaurant presenting a good value? No. But was it a good meal? Not so much. If there was a Mickey Ds here, Murdochâs would drop to #2Hi Allen, I am assuming you had a bad day before ever walking in to the restaurant. Instead of writing a review, you should have written an apology letter for your inappropriate behavior. You ordered a 1/2lb of fish and that is 2 fillets, 4 pieces or one fish. Displaying your middle finger when asked "How was your meal tonight?" to the nicest bartender I have ever met should have gotten you thrown out of the restaurant. Stop back in if you would like to see the video on how you acted during your visit. Shame on you.

Having dined at this family-run restaurant many times over 30+ years of visits to Yankton, I can say that the facility has not changed in all that time, and it looks a bit dated inside. Likewise, the staff has changed very little in that same time, and they too are a bit tired. Even so, the staff can be very helpful and pleasant, if they are not presented with a lot of attitude. Like waitstaff anywhere, they will give what they get. However, the most important point is that the quality and preparation of their steaks is excellent, and they are offered at very reasonable prices. Steaks are charcoal grilled, and are carefully done to each diner's specification. In more than 30 years of visits to The Black Steer I have never been disappointed in the steak or its preparation. The restaurant is also known for its salad dressings, which depending on your taste may be a bit heavy, but they are flavorful. The restaurant offers alternatives in the form of fish and chicken dishes, but IT'S A STEAKHOUSE! Stick to what they do best.
Fleeg's is located on the James River just west of the bridge on old 50. On weekends Fleeg's has really good prime rib. Portions are generous and good. Our favorite is Fleeg's Ribeye Steak. Prices are reasonable and well worth the few minute drive east from Yankton on old highway 50.
