My wife and I were headed back to Lanark and as usual we were a bit lost. We decided to stop at the next place we came across and to our fortune it turned out to be Prego. We were seated right away and our drinks were ordered and delivered. Dinner for me was chicken and spaghetti and she had tortellini. Both were delicious and made to order. For dessert she had amaretto, ice cream and espresso and I had the best sticky pudding I have ever had. The food to value ratio was very good and service was attentive. I would recommend this place.

The function room shares a bar with the public bar which people in the public bar can see into the function room and can just walk into a private function through a door from the bar area which I dont think is a good idea.

We visited The Beefeater at Newhouse with family who were visiting from England. As a large group of eleven, we were pleased to be seated in a private area within the restaurant. The staff were very good, particularly Katrina, who attended to our requests and also kept us entertained! The food and service was great and as a result of the table service, our conversations were not broken up by people having to go to the bar! We ordered a variety of dishes including pasta, salads, steaks, burgers and salmon, all of which were lovely. We would recommend a visit!
