Recently attended a family wake here's organised but my wife.Rob could not have been more understanding and friendly throughout the process which was much appreciated.The spread was more than adequate, had an extensive range of buffet snacks and represented good value for money as do the bar prices in general.There is a large function room and back lounge with bar as well as the main bar / pool table area along with a front, paved beer garden (rear one still needs some work).Obviously the team there are working hard to drive the pub forwards, having taken over the running last year.Would recommend.Thank you for your kind words

Saw the reviews on trip advisor so decided to have a run out and have lunch here today. Was not disappointed. Hard to find a pub that is not a chain and this is exactly that. The food was, what I would describe as proper pub food. Service was excellent. All our meals were eaten fully including desserts. All piping hot and tasty. Will definitely be back and bonus they allow dogs.

Had steak and scampi and my wife had fish and chips her chips were hot the fish was over cooked and dry, and my steak asked for medium it was over cooked and the rest of the meal was mediocre and warm not the standard we have enjoyed before we spoke to one of the servers about this and the response was the chef is leaving and we are getting a lot of complaintsHi Gordon, thank you for taking the time to post a review for us, we appreciate all feedback. Iâmsorry your last experience was not enjoyable, if you would like to discuss this more please give me a call or drop me an email. Our kitchen team comprises of a team of around 12, usually with around 4/5 chefs working in any one day. Iâm not sure the relevance if a chef is leaving, as different meals get cooked by different chefs on separate sections, so not just one chef, just to reassure you. Many thanks again for the feedback. Literally the best Sunday lunch ever. Have been dying to try this place out and was not disappointed! Amazing food, amazing friendly service. Could not fault a thing.
