I chose this restaurant on the basis of trip advisor reviews. My initial opinion but not particularly favourable. You enter the door through a 1970s plastic strip 'fly catcher' type net and the inside is very tired and needs decorating. However, we were warmly welcomed and taken to our seat. The server was friendly and explained how the hot stones works. We shared a garlic bread which was large and had plenty of cheese on it. Next I had the sirlion steak which was lovely and my husband had the crocodile. The chips were nice-just like chip shop chips. The display of deserts is very impressive and difficult to choose from. We had one wrapped ready to take home but it was wrapped in a chip tray with clingfilm and the sauce was put into a chip shop mushy peas pot. This is a terrible look. Maybe invest in some nice white desert /cake boxes?I was impressed with the toilets inasmuch as every conceivable thing you might need is there to use e.g hairspray, baby changing equipment, deodorants, handcream etc.So overall, nice food and good service but the interior and presentation let it down slightly.Thankyou for taking the time to write your review and for giving us 4 stars obviously our food was to your liking , sorry our decor isnât to your liking ,we try to keep our costs down as much as we can and we could invest in cake boxes but this would impact on the cost of your takeaway dessert just for you to throw away , hopefully you will visit us again

I took my partner for an unexpected treat to this highly renowned steak house. I knew it would be pricey but I believe you should pay for quality and the reviews were good. The interior is very nice and comfortable however there was a lack of detail from smeary cutlery to a mouldy raspberry on my dessert. My partner is the carnivore and chose the massive T-bone. It had a good flavour but was quite chewy and he had to admit that the ribeye that I usually get at £4 a portion from Lidl was better (and this steak was 7 times that price...)I had the sea bass, which was really tasty and a very generous portion. The tender stemmed broccoli was cooked perfectly al dente. The lobster bisque accompanying sauce was also delicious. I'm not really a fan of the rustic mash as it's quite dry, butthe sauce helped.I had crème brulée for dessert, which, apart from the aforementioned raspberry was lovely, with 2 melt in the mouth shortbread biscuits and a perfect layer of burnt sugar. Our server, Byron was friendly and helpful. I have done a lot of waiting-on and I think in the staff training they should be encouraged to be alert to the finer details such as the cutlery and mouldy items on the food they are delivering. I'm therefore very understanding of that working environment and never on the make for a free this or that, however, I think that finding a very mouldy piece of fruit should have maybe prompted a little more than having just the raspberry replaced, given the high end class of restaurant reputation that Miller and Carter are obviously trying to achieve if their prices are anything to go by.It's a real shame as although it is a chain, it's a small one and sometimes it's nice to go for a more special meal out. For anyone that used to know The Studio in Church Stretton, you will know exactly what I mean.Hi Karen D, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We are disappointed to hear that you are not satisfied with your visit. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We will use your comments to refine our efforts to ensure this issue does not happen again.

It has been a year since we last ate here and we decided to re visit with friends. Last time the food was great but the service was really hit and miss, but not this time. Our waitress was engaging whilnot being intrusive. Steak and ribs were all amazing, really well cooked and tender, whilst we had a variety of starters, the pate was a real stand out. We wonât be waiting more than a few weeks to return!

Beefeater opened their doors back in 1974, and were driven by a passion for glorious steak. Mouth-watering cuts at mouth-watering prices was their motto. Reassuringly nothing's changed, these things still drive them today and they always will. Beefeater b
