This restaurant is located in the country side far away from Tarifa in the small village of La Zarzuela. You can park your car in front of the house. When you read the name of this restaurant you will get irritated because the name is Bar - Asador.First we thought that we only would get a drink.Inside of this house in country stile with almost only wooden materials there is a fire-place that will warm up the room during the winter season.Of course there is not real winter. But in January the temperature was about + 15 C and it was very windy outside.Although the staff was unable to speak English we understood that fresh fish on a week day is not available.Although the wine list was not up to date.So we ordered deep frozen prawns (gambas) pil pil with a lot of garlic combined with a bottle of wine.At the end we got a free drink from the house.Credit cards are accepted. Here is my personal individual rating:Ambiance: 2-3 pointsPresentation/ Preparing/ taste of meals: 3 pointsValue for money: 3 points

Visited September 2018 and, the new menu is a real improvement. The burgers and french fries are very delicious, with generous portions too.The pizza's are the best in the Tarifa area, a great variety of toppings, with superb authentic base !To compliment the new menu, there are new faces amongst the staff too, and they are superior to the old crew. Attentive, polite, considerate and friendy !This restaurant was already very good, and now it's excellent thanks to all of the positive changes !!!

Very perfect service, friendly and helpful. Very tasty cuisine, excellent fish soup , perfectly grilled meat (entrecot, secreto iberico, an excellent pork bit). Very good red wine by glass. We came back the next day for their rice dish (with mariscos) and were delighted. Medium to low prices.

Iâve been coming here for years ever since I randomly stumbled upon it and was introduced to the âsecret pigâ! A great little find, the best secreto iberico in an cosy setting and staff always friendly. If you donât like pork, the steaks are great too. Not tried anything else on the menu, however every dish looks superb. This little place is simplicity at its best. Good quality meat (or veg option) served with salad and herb crusted fries. What more do you need apart from a nice glass of vino to go with it. Get there early in peak season, this place gets busy. Definitely worth a visit :-)

Upon our arrival on the ferry from Tangier and worried that we may not meet any restaurants opened by the time we set off on our 2hrs 15mins journey back to Seville, we decided to spend time in Tarifa and have our dinner instead.Upon quick review on TP, we settled for a steak. The restaurant had just started to open it's doors when we arrived at 8pm, however it wasn't until an hour later before food was served. The restaurant became occupied quickly as other customers began arriving including pre-booked ones and most especially the locals. The steak I had was medium to well done and it was juicy and delicious indeed. My advice is to book early as you could be waiting for some time and the chef taking quality time in cooking those huge and fat steak.
