Nice, cozy place. Interior looks like a loghouse, good athmosphere. Nice, polite crew. The Canadian flags outside pretend that it's a Canadian restaurant. It isn't! Poutine, Nanaimo bar, butter tarts, tourtière....none of them available. New Orleans cheese nuggets, New Zealand lamb, Yellowstone steak.....geography problems? Confusing. My choice: Mustardsoup ( good) and Alberta (!) pork tenderloin. Kind of dry and limited flavour The curled fries are not real potatoes but made of flour. Anyways, all together, it was OK to be there with the family but not my first choice to go back soon.

Voor de eerste keer bij de opschepper. Wat een leuke zaak en wat een lekkere en uitgebreide keuken. Voor ieder wat wils. Wij begrijpen niet dat dat kan voor dat geld. Hij mag dan wel de opschepper heten maar is dat zeker niet. Een topper die wij graag aanbevelen.

On a little pedestrian place, i was Just here for have a drink but service and place were nice so i decided to try the food! Good idea, it was huge and good! If i have to come in steenwijk again i will eat here for sure ! Prices are between 15 and 30⬠but you have for your money here!
