Around the 2nd millennium BC and slightly later, the island was known as The Island of the Magnetes where the Magnetes used to live and later Pelasgia and Dolopia and later Skyros. At 209 square kilometres (81 sq mi) it is the largest island of the Sporades, and has a population of about 3,000 (in 2011). It is part of the regional unit of Euboea.

We are the oldest tavern in the port of Linaria. We offer dishes of Greek cuisine but mainly freshly baked lobster and fish to our customers. We have a privately owned boat and we use it for our daily fishing.

"LAMPROS" restaurant is one of the best in Skiros island!+ Environment+ Excellent Greek Traditional Cuisine+ Prices+ Staff- location(its a little bit far from Skiros Chora)It is ideal for any event because they have excellent and quality cuisine! The food quality is what makes the difference both in meat and the fresh fish!Every ingriedient on the menu is local,fresh and healthy. The staff was helpful and kind but we were served with a small delay because they had a lot of work at the kitchen!!Prices are low for quality and quantity offered compared with other restaurants in the area!I highly recommend it for everyone!! You must try it!!

The food was great, unique flavours and quality, the hospitality and service were good. Kids had great time at the yard of the shop and really enjoyed the burgers, have to note that burgers are huge..and soo tasty! You should also taste pita souvlakia, are really delicious. The prices are good, you can have great dinner/lunch at best prices!
