Since moving back to St. Louis, it has been really hard finding a Japanese Steakhouse that offers tasty Teppanyaki and sushi at a good price. Yes, I have tried Shogun and the other (that currently slips my mind) but to me, they cannot compare! I just happen to see their billboard off highway 70 on my way to Mid-Rivers Mall.This was my first visit and I have already started planning my second visit with family this weekend (just because I want to try everything else :)). The lunch prices are very reasonable, especially compared to the quality and taste. Our server and cook were great and very entertaining. I also had the sushi, which was fresh and flavorful. At the end of the meal, I was so full, but the food was so good, I ordered a roll to go.If you do the Teppanyaki, be sure to have the Yum Yum sauce, which is a rare commodity in St. Louis. It is an organish sweet mayonnaise based sauce that would put a smile on your face.

Visited the restaurant for breakfast but wanted the classic double steak burger. Cheeseburger menu available all day, and drive through quickly took my order. Steak 'n Shake cooks to order so expected to wait, but they had my double steak burger ready very quickly. Cheeseburger was cooked to perfection with fresh toppings. French fries were fresh and hot, perfectly cooked. Excellent service and quality. One note - this Steak 'n Shake used to be open 24 hours, but now opens at 8AM if you really want to get a cheese burger for breakfast.
