"Kleftakis" has a good reputation in this area: the food is good, let's say above average and service is smiley and friendly: Thought, they usually bring on the table what is just ready and they do not follow "starters and then main course" rule : As a result one customer can start having his main course at the same time customer on the same table is just having salad waiting for his! Also, not all main courses (meat) are accompanied by french fries which is the case in most greek tavernas.

Just by chance we stopped here for a bite. We ordered a salad, small gyro and a small stuffed pita. The portions were enormous and delicious. Definitely a great find! Prices were very reasonable. Nice to find such a good place to eat that is affordable and yummy. Just across the street from the beach.

10 days in Greece, staying in Spata- near airport- we enjoyed this taverna in the beach side town of Artemida. Quick drive 15 minutes from Spata; park along the beach. They have a restaurant on either side of the road. Both are cute; better view on the beach, bathrooms across the road.Service friendly; food good and authentic; grilled chicken, fish, salad and some wine. Stroll outside along the coast or into town. Can't lose. You can't lose by going to Greece- what great people, food, and world class sites at reasonable prices!

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant in October while on vacation in the Athens area. We were staying in the suburb of Pikermi and this restaurant was less than a block from our location. The beef was excellent as was the staff, and they have an upscale looking decor as well as outdoor dining available. The prices were mid-range but even the American-themed dishes (i.e. hamburger and fries) were top-notch.

This restaurant has been serving excellent grilled meats for a long time. It has expanded through the years and there is plenty of space indoors and outdoors. There is even an indoors children's playground!Everything on the spit is always delicious, lamb, kokoretsi, kontosouvli. Just check what is on. The cheese croquettes and the salads are also delicious and the portions are big. I am sure that everything on the menu is equally good, I just find that I cannot resist the aroma of the grilling meats and end up always ordering them.I think that in the winter, they are open only in the weekends, starting Friday night. Give them a call before you go, just to make sure.

Nice neighborhood tavern, with friendly atmosphere and good food. Some traditional Greek recipes with a modern touch, such as fried feta with honey and sesame, the meatballs worth the drive to Rafina.A bit noisy when full, but with a friendly, family tone. The couple who own the place, are always smiling and willing to stop by your table for a word of two :-) Prices are a bit high, though not a reason for not visiting, considering the type of food and the location, though.

Traditional Greek family Fish Tavern Since 1955. We always offers fresh fish, traditional Greek cuisine recipes and homemade dishes, created always with the best and freshest local products everyday. Upon arrival at Maridas traditional seafood restaurant,
We decided to visit Marida after reading TA reviews and not disappoint. We had steamed mussels, octopus, calamari, fried vegetables some local beer and uzo. All were perfect. We are at Athens for couple of more days and we will visit again before our departure .
