Went to Capital Grille in Providence for dinner during a business trip. Valet parking available. Reservation made through Open Table for 9:30PM, but I arrived an hour earlier than my reservation. I was seated in less than 15 minutes, however, the only available table was near the entrance. If you are working, reading, are dining with others, or are just non-distractible, this is the table for you, if not forgo. Manny, my server, was excellent and Andrew managed my table adeptly. Everyone was attentive, friendly and professional. Although I dined alone, I never felt overlooked for bigger parties, which has happened in the past in other establishments. I dined on Seared Citrus Glazed Salmon With Marcona Almonds and Brown Butter, with sides of Sam's Mashed Potatoes and Creamed Spinach. I opted for the smaller side portions. Rated the meal four stars. I wanted to love the Coconut Cream Pie With House Made Caramel Sauce, but sadly it fell short for me as far as taste. I was shocked about that particularly from the number of rave reviews I saw online and that this was their signature dessert. I must say that itâs presentation was awe inspiring and would have satisfied four diners easily. The hostess asked how it was going as well as Mark, the manager(?). At this point I shared my displeasure with the dessert. He offered another, which I declined and he had it removed from my bill. Mark, Manny and Andrew were genuinely dedicated in their customers having a wonderful gastronomic experience. My sincerest appreciation and thanks to you all! I rate the service five stars, food was four and overall a four and a half stars.

Fleming's Providence, RI is an ongoing celebration of exceptional steak and wine. We are located in Downtown Providence, near Federal Hill, Providence Place, and Brown University.
Went out with my wife and son. From the moment we walked in the door, till we finished desert, we were made to feel at home, welcomed and special. Remarkably attentive managerial and wait staff.Went during restaurant week and ordered off the special menu. The double pork chop was excellent as was Ahi Tuna and rib eye. They make sure that you are pleased with the preparation of your steak and stand behind it. Changed out my pork chop for a rarer prep and deducted it off the bill! Very generous sides. Tasty family style corn.We also took them up on a wine sampling special of Duck Horn wines. 6 glasses. Great deal. Our waitress Corrie was super.

I can't count the number of wonderful meals I have had in this restaurant over the years. The friendly staff and bartenders, making new friends at the bar, relaxing times with great food and an amazing menu and specials is now is almost a completely different operation - new owners or chef maybe? The last few times we've had dinner here, I was somewhat disappointed - but last night was the absolute limit. Lobster bisque tasted like cold thick clam chowder that someone added catsup to. My old favorite standby the Bravo salad is now an overdressed lump of uninspired mixed greens that look like they came from a salad bar at Stop and Shop, and a quartered unripe tomato. The fried goat cheese medallion looked and tasted like it was made days before and stored in the refrigerator. The small piece of unseasoned salmon I had was overcooked, watery and had bones in it. The muscles were overcooked and the broth flavorless - this used to be a favorite dish of ours that we looked forward to for days before we had them - neither of us finished our meals. The service was great as usual at least. And what is this trend with restaurants reserving the bar? And why did you get rid of the brilliant salad nicoise and frisee salads? Change can be good, but not if you replace things on the menu with inferior items. It's like saying goodbye to an old friend.

We have been to Ten twice now and both times our meals were delicious and the waitstaff was extremely attentive. I love sashimi and steak so it was a match made in heaven. This last time I decided to eat a little lighter so I had some appetizers including the lava rocks app. The steak was so tender and I loved cooking it myself to just the right temp. My husband LOVES the Crunchy roll and wants to go back every week for it. Michelle, the bartender, is always smiling and ready to make our night!
