Having been a customer of Steakpoint for several years now I feel secure in saying that the restaurant, which is located in the basement of Karstadt, is a hidden gem in Nürnberg. I can highly recommend Steakpoint to any steak lover as the quality of the meat is great. Pricewise you pay for the meat quality you get. Only the sides and drinks are comparatively on the more expensive side for Nürnberg. Steakpoint is definitely worth visiting if you like meat, go for a business lunch or are out shopping. Food: There is no menu per se at Steakpoint. You first chose from three side dishes (coleslaw, green salad or a baked potato) and then order your meat in the size and what kind you want directly with the bar staff. The meat is then grilled in front of you (as long as you sit directly at the bar). The quality of the meat is very high and the staff usually prepares perfectly. In some rare cases they erred on the side of not done enough. However, they happily put the steak back on the grill for you. Together with the meat you can choose from a variety of sauces. Service: The service at Steakpoint is alright but not great. As there are no waiters you order directly with the person who prepares the meat for you. As in busy times the place is quite full there is not much time for interaction with the personnel and the staff at times are a little bit hurried. Location: Steakpoint is located in the basement of Karstadt in the middle of a grocery store. While you sit and eat people around you do their shopping. So the place is great to people watch but donât expect a view. Also, as the seating is limited at busy times you always have to wait for a seat. A little more annoying is that the toilet is one level up so it takes you an escalator ride to get there.

We were staying at the Arvena Park hotel for a week, and found this "by accident". It is quite close to the hotel, 7 minutes walk and even though it was quite full the night we went, most tables being reserved, we were lucky to get a table for two. The menu was huge! Containing a number of different dishes and the food was very nice. In fact, neither of us ended up ordering steak. The staff worked like mad, yet were very friendly and did their best to accommodate us. It took, however, a little bit of time to get the bill, pay it, and then get our coats when leaving as this was right in the middle of the busiest time in the restaurant. That should not keep you from trying the restaurant, though.

Ok we were greeted friendly when we came and found a nice table. The prizes are high in my opinion (250g rumpsteak, a potato and a slice of garlic bread for â¬25, my girl had a cheeseburger which was frankly ugly) the guy at our table was more than unfriendly and we didnât do anything wrong. Maybe his girlfriend kicked him out the other night - but still. For three plates we payed â¬70. Find something else.

We go there every once in a while and we've been ALWAYS satisfied.We always eat the steak = because this is what this place is specialized in!You can choose what kinda steak you prefer; but the best is: You can order BIG steaks (the do it by every 100 gram).We like the ambience and the service and we will surely return.

WowCool venue, great bar, a Pinot to be remembered but seriously I eat a lot of steak, I cook a great steak, but I just ate the best cut of steak ever.Simply cooked, no sauce to spoil the flavor, not charred no grey at all.Just book a table.
