Went for the first time for our wedding anniversary on August 8th. Was very impressed by the menu and ambience of the restaurant part of the pub. Sometimes, pubs try to do restaurant style food with matching prices, but the chef here can really pull it out of the bag. There were no disappointments! We had the goat's cheese & beetroot and tempura king prawns starters followed by the lamp rump & monkfish curry for mains. We shared a pineapple and banana pud. Every mouthful was utterly delicious, especially the monkfish. Service was excellent too: nothing was too much trouble.My parents went after I raved about it and they agreed with me! We are off for a return visit on Saturday with some friends. Ensure that you book as it does get busy.

These guys are total amateurs, the steaks are 5mm thick, terribly seared and most importantly terrible quality meat. They also have the audacity to lie about the type of cuts they serve rather than what is ordered and paid for. I ordered a rib eye and was served a cut that was definitely not that but chewy barely fit for mincing for burgers.This experience was for all 6 of our family....and I wonât get started on the service either.I understand people making an effort to start a business but try and approach it from a place of honesty and integrity, further get some training before claiming you are a steak lounge....did mention I wonât get started in the service.Never again!!!Hi Farook. Had lunch with our 4 kid, food was great and fantastic value for money. However, the key thing that made this a great experience were staff. Fabian was fantastic it ensuring we all had a great meal and would come back. Service that you would normally only get if you were paying 3 times the price. Thank you.
