Panchos is a Spanish / South American restaurant with a focus on steaks, but also offering a good variety of other food. It's located in a basement, but makes up for the lack of daylight with a traditionally Spanish, cozy and warm interior. We ordered a few tapas. The chorizos were very nice, as were the fired calamari. The platter with serrano ham, cheese and olives was so so. Especially the ham was a bit disappointing. Would have preferred a smaller serving of higher quality ham. As mains, we had the mixed meat platter, which my wife enjoyed. I had the entrecote steak, which was definitely not American steakhouse quality, but ok for the price. The wine selection is small. The bottled wines are rather expensive, and the red wine was served too warm. Wine is definitely an area that could be improved.Service was friendly, but could have been a bit more attentive. All in all a decent restaurant with good food and adequate value, worthy of returning.

My colleague from overseas and I decided to try out La Plaza Steakhouse in the market place in Opladen one early evening recently and were delighted. The welcome was warm and friendly and the Spanish waiters went out of their way to speak English to us. The restaurant was filling up nicely and we were escorted to a quieter corner where we could talk confidentially as well as eat & drink. An efficient waitress brought us the menus and two little glasses of Malaga Virgen sweet "sherry". I was bowled over by the extensive choice on the menu including many of my favourite dishes from Spain. I ordered baby squids, pimientos del padron and serrano ham to pick at, taco style. This also came with bread and three dips/spreads. For the main course I went for the T-bone "chuleton" steak which was heavenly. This came with a jacket potato and butter. The open house Rioja red wine was the perfect choice to go with all of this. To conclude the meal one of the waiters returned with some Carlos Mendoza brandy on the house. He went through an impressive act of warming the glasses and serving the brandy which I had never witnessed before. The brandy was fantastic and a great end to a perfect meal.I promised that I'll be back - soon. My overseas guest was equally impressed. The bar has been set very high for him for when I come to visit him in Australia later in the year.

I invited an overseas guest to join me for dinner at the Angus steakhouse because my previous experiences have been so good. Tonight was an unfortunate exception...We arrived early to a restaurant that was devoid of diners except two people. We sat in a window seat and were warmly greeted by the owner and his staff. We checked the menu and also took advice on the best cut of meat to order. I was impressed how both the owner and his compatriot seemed to commit our order to memory - no writing anything down. Maybe there was a language barrier between a mixture of German, English and a smattering of Russian spoken by my guest. But we were both increasingly irritated when, firstly they forgot her first course, then later, my side salad, ordered to accompany my excellent (and very expensive) steak and finally our bottle of mineral water. And it wasn't as if the restaurant was overly full...There were many apologies but my Russian guest was not impressed at all.Whilst the meal itself was nice and the steaks were well grilled we left wondering whether the owner wouldn't be better off writing down his customers orders so that they would not be forgotten. Oh, and with a bill of 130,00 Euro for two, this place is certainly not cheap in my humble opinion.

Father, son and trusty dog stopped off at the Don Camillo on our early evening walk for an ad hoc dinner together. We found ourselves a table outside on the small patio and were warmly welcomed with a Kölsch and Malzbeer. I ordered a simple rump steak with no sauce but with a baked potato as the only accompaniment. It was beautifully cooked & quite frankly, delicious. My son went for the kids portion of bratwürst & chips which he wolfed down - this is a testament to a very good kitchen! The only compliant was the hole in my beer glass - although I admit that I was rather thirsty, it was a hot evening and the Kölsch was also just right.I'm left wondering why it has taken us so long to discover this place. But now, once tried, we won't be shy in returning... soon.

If you don't mind the interior, which makes an impression of unchanged since the 80s, Zagreb is a good place to try some grilled/fried meat and fish dishes. A variety of traditional (like ÄevapÄiÄi or pljeskavica) meat is offered, together with rice and/or fries. The dishes were good and the portions quite large. Fair price for all that.

The unlimited meat option is good for meat lovers! You can also do an unlimited grilled Veg option, but not as great as the meat spread and the meat option. The ambiance is very good and good service too. I liked the desserts as well. There is also a good salad spread, so all in all, there's something for everyone here!

New modern Steakhouse with an excellent choice of meat, grilled on the 800 Degrees Montague Grill. Enjoy an great evening at this unique location.
Recommended by locals as âtheâ place to eat of the best steak in the greater Cologne area. The six people at our business dinner started by enjoying plates of traditional steaks (also very tasteful vegetables). Flavors went well together. Nice surprise that the menu was also in English, even more surprising is the frendly stuff can speak fluent Serbian! We had really a wonderful time spent in amazing ambiente near to the fireplace! I'm already planning to visit this place again!
