A bevy of universities give Austria's second-largest city its lively pace. Baroque palaces are a pleasant contrast with 16th-century courtyards and provocative modern buildings. The Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, teems with fine architecture, including the Burg castle complex, with its Gothic double staircase, and the graceful Uhrturm clock tower. A funicular takes visitors up the dramatic bluff. The River Mur dashes through the city, and thermal springs dot the surrounding countryside.

I visited this steak restaurant last year whilst working on the F1. The food last year was much better and the quality was excellent. This years visit was a disappointment. I ordered a rib eye steak medium rare with two sides of grilled veg and mixed beans. The spinalis part of the steak was well done (overcooked) with the central eye of the meat looked to be medium rare. I was hungry having started my travels for the UK at 5am so decide not to say anything. Whilst trying to eat the central eye piece I almost gagged due to the amount of salt it was cooked with. One of the waitresses caught my reaction as I was trying to eat and came over. I tried to explain that the steak was seasoned excessively and I could not really eat it. She want away spoke to one of the waiters then nothing happened for 30mins. By this time I had eaten the veg and sliced a piece from the inside of the steak To eat due to hunger and put it down to exprience. As I was finishing a waiter approached me apologising and saying he will do something. This something was to remove the â¬4 beans from the bill! Not something you would expect to be acceptable from the premier steak restaurant with pricing to match in Graz. Disappointed.

That it is certainly not. Group of 4, we didnât bother with starters but went straight into the beef and ordered a T-bone, fillet, porterhouse and a rib-eye to share. Nicely cooked you good sides of creamed spinach, onions, potatoes and beans. Steaks nicely cooked and sliced up to share. Great with a couple of bottles of red. Small selection of deserts. Good evening had by all.

we like the burgers there, and the chops, but the potao-spaghetti-shrimp was absolutely great, and the red hot chilli poppers so up my alley!Evenn though the staff was working, the getting drinks again was a huge effort, and one of the reasons we left with out.Not bad a place, but - like many I have found - getting a drink when the one you are having is empty was HARD WORK. Maybe just a glitch on the day.
