There is a genuine buzz and enthusiasm from the staff here that is a real credit to them. Along with a super helpful english speaking waitress we had an outstanding meal. The antipasti was all delicious, followed by pastas and meat you cooked to you own liking and accompanied by superb local wines......it does not get better apart from the pannacotta which was divine....OMG! We had about 8 taster/ starter , 4 main meals including a huge cut of beef, 4 desserts, 2 big bottles of water , 2 bottles excellent red wine, 2 fizzies, 1 lemoncello..128 euro. A similar quality meal at home would exceed 300 euro easily.

In an alley off the main square, the unique selling point is that the restaurant had a butchers attached and the meat was good but I thought expensive compared to other places locally. What I didnât like was the alley where you sit smelt strongly of urine. There had been a concert nearby the day before and I wondered if the area was used a toilet. The staff were aware of the problem but seem resigned to it. I also thought the service was a bit hit and miss. Not the best place we visited in Nardò

Found this place wondering around the centro storico. There were a lot of locals waiting here to get their take out. The fact is they have a sweet little dining room, painted a pretty ochre color so I had high hopes, also when I saw the grill and the things coming off it. We ordered a mixed grill, some of those tiny round sausages and some grilled vegetables. The little sausages totally lacked flavor and the ground meat has ALOT of added breading or something...non sono stati saporiti per niente. The wine by the glass was merely passable, ok whatever, the veggies were just ok. But what I really did not like at all was when I went to get the bill they gave me something written by hand with NO legal receipt! I had that, they recognized us as "stranieri" and tried to do something very illegal figuring we "would not know better". I did not confront this fact, but I want to go straight to the Finanza. Non ci'hanno dato la ricevuta fiscale. NON va bene!
