Reviews on Steakhouse food in Fredericksburg, Texas, United States. In the heart of Texas Hill Country, Fredericksburg is a small city with a unique German flavor in its quaint bakeries, Hauptstrasse (Main Street) boutiques and generations-old peach orchards. Weekenders from nearby San Antonio and Austin have long appreciated the charm of the city's many B&Bs and "Sunday House" Inns. The surrounding Texas Hill Country is home to lush vineyards, making up one of the country's largest viticultural areas.

We were visiting Fredericksburg with 3 other couples and had dinner at the Cabernet Grill. We had made a reservation for 8 people and they were ready for us when we arrived. We had a table upstairs that was great and allowed us to carry on conversations. The decor and ambience were very reflective of the Hill Country. The food was fabulous. The wedge salad was the best ever! All steaks were perfectly cooked and the desserts were divine! I highly recommend the Cabernet Grill. Make sure you have reservations so that you will not be disappointed. We are pleased to hear your group enjoyed their meal. As far as the wedge salad goes, you would be surprised to know how many hand made components go into putting it together. Our house made slab bacon, special recipe gorgnzola walnut dressing, grapes tomatoes marinated in basil from our gardens and that special baby ice burg lettuce head all combine to make one of the best steak knife wedge salads available. We are happy you noticed how exceptional it is.

Welcome to CROSSROADS SALOON AND STEAKHOUSE. Located at the intersection of Great Music and Great Food. Crossroads has quickly become the Texas Hill Country's finest dining and live music venue. Hours of operation are 5:00-9:00 PM in The Steakhouse Wednes
Went here on a whim for my wife's birthday. It was the perfect choice. On the west end of Fredericksburg, with plenty of parking and a couple of options - quiet dining, or music and saloon. We haven't tried a weekend yet (we've heard loud and busy), but for mid-week dining (and some good music), this place is hard to beat. There are some great specials, most of the plates are more than large enough to split, and the service is phenomenal. I had the Wednesday special (10 oz prime rib), cooked exactly how I like it and some of the best beef I've had in a while. A lot of good veggie options - I went with the Brussels sprouts, the wife went with mushrooms. Both were excellent. Save room for dessert - the peach pie with ice cream, or the fried strawberries with both pistachio and salted caramel ice cream were very good. We made reservations, and did not have to wait for a table. This will become a regular spot.Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We are so happy you enjoyed your experience & can't wait to serve you again!
