Best Butcher shop in town. Always high quality meat. Have Fahoe Island salmon. Best chicken that I know of in Champaign-Urbana. Many of their products are locally or midwestern sourced. Have never had a bad steak from their shop. Courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful staff.

We decided to eat at Outback to celebrate our anniversary as we know that we will get a meal that is consistently good. We had considered another non-chain restaurant but the Trip Advisor reviews were so varied that we decided not to chance it and just stick with something we knew would be decent. I had the 6 oz. filet with lobster tail which comes with a choice of potato and another side. My husband had Alice Springs Chicken, which he orders every time because he likes it so much. We were pleased with the quality of our food as always. Our server was attentive and efficient. The only complaint was that we were seated under an air conditioning vent and it was really cold when it kicked on. The restaurant was not busy on a Tuesday evening and we were seated right away.

Went here on Christmas eve in afternoon. Server did not offer us any bread - we had to ask for it, and then it was only Sister Shubert's rolls. Salads looked good, but were $2 extra. Wanted a well done filet mignon. What I got was red in the center, so I had to send it back. What I ended up with was a tough piece of meat that didn't even taste like a filet mignon. Suspect it was sirloin made to look like filet. The rest of the group I was with liked their food, and I have eaten here before and liked it, but this time was very disappointing.

Ok, it's a big chain restaurant. It's out of the way in town next to the schnucks store. But, this place is crowded and it's crowded because it's amazing. It's not amazing as in Ruth's Chris amazing. It's amazing because it is ALWAYS good, steaks are always cooked the same and right and the service is always good. If you haven't been to one look at the menu online. They do not take reservations, but you can call ahead or use their app to get a number at a certain time. When you get ther you check in and wait 0-10 minutes generally. Usually pretty quick. If you don't and go on a weekend evening you could have a 30-60 minute wait. Compare that to Denny's' where they have half a dozen car in the lot at a time. If someone in your group has a birthday they will sing to them country style and give them a desert. Only negative is that it can be pretty loud at times. One of my favorite goto eats.

My son and his partner, my husband, and myself LOVE this restaurant! I am addicted to the peppercorn encrusted filet mignon and my husband says the lobster bisque and crabcakes are the Best that he has ever had! Waitstaff are very attentive and inquisitive enough to ensure that you receive exactly what you want. Sides are generous enough for 2 people, so don't over order. It's a little loud due to lack of ceiling insulation, but not intolerable. Quality of food, superb service, and decor ensure that we'll return. Wow Leisa! Many thanks for the kind words along with amazing pictures. Your comments about the food and service clearly shows that we were able to provide you with a great overall experience and rest assured we would make sure that the feeling continues. Do allow us the opportunity to serve you again soon.

Brand new in Champaign
Longhorn is always one of our go-to restaurants, so while staying at a nearby hotel in Champaign, we ordered take-out. Food was good as usual, and was ready at the stated pick-up time. However, we had difficulty ordering online (which is how we normally do it at home) - items we chose came back not available, but then we couldn't remove them and replace them with something else and were essentially locked out of completing our order, so we had to start over from the beginning. Not a huge deal but frustrating and time-consuming - it seems like the online ordering menu could be a little more current/up-to-date. Otherwise a good choice for our trip.

The Ribeye keeps it simple with a well-executed but rather brief menu and terrific salad bar, Their signature ribeye is served on a sizzling platter and offered in two sizes. There are chicken and shrimp add-on options as well, and a choice of sides. Service was warm and efficient without feeling rushed. The tender, juicy steaks were very accurate in the temperature ordered, even with the added heat from the platter. The salad bar was a meal in itself with a variety of pasta, potato salad and topping offerings in addition to the standard spread of fresh veggies. The place does a brisk business, even during the week, so we choose to eat a bit earlier. These folks know what they are doing and do it really well at reasonable prices.
